The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

He is from Columbus. Probably bumping around in here waiting for the lathe to finish the final pass on a rotor. Then chucking them on the car without a non-directional finish and plenty of dust and grease from not cleaning them first.

Hahaha. Amazing!

Why do you have a shotgun with a scope? Isn't the scope kind of useless? (gun newb here)

You know I was just talking to a couple of guys at Mid Ohio about the whole cross drilled brake thing. I have to agree with Jon and say that the newb that posted is a ******* idiot. If you came in here with a legitimate argument with supporting facts, I would give you some respect. Coming in here and calling somebody stupid when you are WRONG and he is RIGHT is just plain dumb. I also have a degree in Aerospace Engineering albeit a Bachelor's and I support Jon 100%. There are plenty of other people on here that also know their stuff that would agree.

TL;DR - **** off newb.

shotguns are to be pointed (depending on what shot you have in there) rifles are to be precise. If someone is in your house I would want to throw the maximum amount of lead at them as fast as possible. No time for scopes

You have to be a member to view it and from what you and Nick have said about that forum, it's not worth registering for.

In fact every case of "warped brake disc" that I have investigated, whether on a racing car or a street car, has turned out to be friction pad material transferred unevenly to the surface of the disc. This uneven deposition results in thickness variation (TV) or run-out due to hot spotting that occurred at elevated temperatures.

Not saying he's right, I'm just pointing out that they specifically answer the question you asked.

not for me. i hunt turkey and deer with my scoped shotgun. i killed a turkey this year through my scope. having a scope is nice for turkey because i have an extra full choke that throws a dense pattern and its good to know where your spread drop will be at shooting range. and i use it for slugs to shoot deer as well.

On a shotgun, yea, kinda. A laser or or a red-dot scope with no magnification may help in the dark.

Its not my home defense gun, but i use it for home defense. im not too concerned about missing either way. but like i said the scope is usually off. the scope part of the comment was just to say that it is my surveilance haha.

The Friendly Cat's Paw
$49.95
Motorists and Cyclists alike,

As you already know: most states require a three foot buffer for a motorist to pass a cyclist. How far is three feet? Well, it's pretty impractical to hang a measuring tape out of your window.

So what is the solution?
The KaleCoAuto Friendly Cat's Paw. Simply attach the clamp side to your bicycle and extend the telescoping Cat's Paw. This extends to exactly 2ft 11 and 7/8ths inches. If a motorist passes too close, the spring-loaded Cat's Paw will gently brush the paint of the vehicle and emit a high pitched squealing sound as the (user replaceable!) friendship-blades run across the paint!

The motorist will know immediately they are too close, and give you a friendly wave. Whew! Accident avoided.Another KaleCoAuto product that makes sharing the road safer and more fun!*

Weight Weenies: Only 113 grams!

*Not for use with pedestrians.

some crazy stuff on that website...

will be doing my test fitting to see if I can fit in the number 25 mazda MX 5 of freedom autosport later today
