The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

My wife and I have 2 kids and we didn't get jack s*** back. They said I made to much money. And I owe the city like 350 or more from 2 years ago. On another note that Evo is sick, and I know I will get s*** for this but I always wanted a street legal version of an Evo like that one (meaning the body style) and I wouldn't mind that horsepower either.

^Reminds me of this

I was reading this and was a little confused until I read posts by others. Is this for real????

It is. They had some of the students pushing to change this on the news this morning. It's South Georgia, I wish I were surprised. My wife went to school in Birmingham, I went to school in NW Georgia, and this was never even "a thing". Like... it wasn't something that we'd have even considered, because why? Are black people still "icky"?? I don't get it. But then again people think a coloring book about gay people is unacceptable to "expose our children to," so maybe I'm just not enlightened enough (rolleyes)

I was about to say that it's one of the only bad things about living in the south... except that this type of s***'s pervasive still throughout the country. So...

oh and I vote for a meet at the Brew Garden in Middleburg Heights after Josh gets back home and settled in. Sort of in between all of us ... I went there for dinner on Wed night. They have enough of a beer selection and the food was good and they have space to put a few tables together and plenty of parking because it's in the front of a strip mall. It's right off I71 so if anyone wants to take the turnpike from either direction, shouldn't be too long of a haul. Maybe the weekend of April 27 if Marlon isn't going down to the Mitty, unless something else is going on that weekend.

Sounds good to me! That little b**** Josh was whining we're having a meet one week before he got home. Haha

That is sad that this is still going on in this day and age. My sister lives in NE Tennessee and people ride around in pick-em-up trucks with huge confederate flags flying on them ... and i saw a teenage girl with a confederate flag pocketbook when i was in McD's ... we've never had any problems when we've been down there, but it makes you think. My sis lives in ATL now, but even when she goes up to TN to visit she feels like everyone looks at her like an outsider ... it's kind of creepy. Her boyfriend who is hispanic refuses to even go up there. I just don't care anymore ...

Yep, sad

A heads up... once I finally get the confirmation of if I go to China, there will be an impromptu meet somewhere. If anyone is able to make it... cool. If not, no worries.

There's not necessarily anything wrong about displaying the confederate "battle flag" as long as it's not being used as a statement of racism or anything like that. You don't see anyone displaying the true confederate flag though (e.g. stars and bars). Although slavery is wrong I do believe any state has the right to leave the union if it so wishes as long as it relinquishes all priviledges associated with being part of the U.S. I guess this is a product of me being raised in TN and VA.
