The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

OMG! (I immediately thought of the guy on the right in that pic, not mentioning any names) ... and what was the crashed focus guys forum name? redryder? or redrobin? i can't even remember anymore ... that's for SURE one Mohican Fun Run we'll never forget!! LOL

Does his name start with a B? An I guess I can stick with Taters.

Hondas are mostly out of her price range. The hondas that are in her price seem to be advertised by kidz and if they drive their cars as well as they spell, no thanks. The more she can stay below 4k the better.

I can sell her a 1988 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 with 9 inches of lift and 38 inch super swampers for the great price of 3,200 but will take 3,000 if she really wants it.

The gallons per mile would break her.

Evan could pull off a speed3. With the right haircut and wardrobe of course.

If anybody wants any of the stuff in this picture, it's free. I'm moving next week and will toss whatever nobody takes from this pile.

Random oil and coolant lines, MSP heat shield, 2 protege spark plug wires, 2 sets of NGK V-power plugs for protege and/or MSP, J-pipe heat shield, Ebay "powered by FSDET" oil cap, HID bulbs (don't know temperature/color), 3" coupler, Glowshift gages (boost, oil press - missing sender, fuel press), K&N recharge kit (used once).

I'll take the stuff, specifically the gauges, oil cap and k&n recharge kit. Will you be at the meet tomorrow?

I'll be there tomorrow. I'll bring all of the stuff so you can grab what you want.

EDIT: Looks like Pablo has you beat on dibs from the other thread. You guys can fight over it at the meet tomorrow. I want a full on bare fist brawl.

Honestly I would be happy with just the fuel pressure gauge. I need to diagnose some tuning issues I'm having with the Miata. Peaches, what do you say?

Back at ya brother! speed3 POWER since July 2007.

Haven't been on here at all so I don't know if someone has posted this but this is pretty interesting. It will be cool to see where the tech goes.

^Good find Ivan. There should be some interesting tech in the next few years.

Sheesh I drove a Speed3 before they were cool.

I remember driving the first one Mazda of Kent got when first released. My first thought was "why the **** would they design a car that tries to put you in a ditch when you hit the gas?"
Then I bought the MSM and put it in a ditch anyway.

Had to put that before any of you FWD4lyfe fuckers try to say something smart.

What the "greenies" won't tell you is that technology ("free" valves) has been around since the late '80's and was developed for F1 cars (what wasn't) before being outlawed. Hybrid/electric technology is fine and all but it doesn't solve the problem. There are SO many improvements that can still be made to standard internal combustion engines and I wouldn't be surprised, if R&D is continued, we see a 50% increase in fuel economy, power, and torque in IC engines within the next 10-15 years. Combine that with cleaner synthetic fuels with more specific energy and just imagine what kind of cars the future may have in store!

Go et em' Phen Dog!

I definitely don't miss FWD or the torque steer.

I have decided to keep the MSM, and since the red wheels will be harder to sell I decided to keep them and sell the RacingHarts. If anybody is interested in them let me know.

if you can afford keeping all 3, i think thats a smart choice... and if the red wheels would have fit the 3, id have bought them for winter wheels in a heartbeat haha

My MS3 doesn't have a ton of torque steer like it did when it was stock. Either my suspension/tire/motor mount mods are reducing it, or my arm muscles are just stronger and used to it?? HAHA

Also, I purchased the JBR Trilogy Mount package (80 duro) a few months ago. I finally got a chance to install the passenger side mount last night (only took about 45 minutes). I didn't have time to do the transmission or rear mounts yet. I already have a SU rear mount so I'm not in a rush to replace that one yet. The passenger mount definitely makes some drastic changes. The first time I started the car, I thought something was wrong because the vibes were crazy and the motor sounded like a race car LOL. I've put about 100 miles on it already and the bushing is starting to break in luckily. I can tell there's already a decrease in vibes and noise compared to brand new. I can't test the mount 100% yet as the roads are still wet and I'm on snow tires.
