You solved the mystery. I was stopped on kenmore leg and said **** this! Went 77n to 21n to Ghent Rd to yellowcreek/bath (valley roads!) and then on home... Went north to go south. Added 15 min to my trip. Better than sitting on the highway roasting.

Is Nelson track any good? I keep hearing very mixed reviews about the place... Some say its great many others says its the worst conditioned, most dangerous track ever. Not sure if driver errors factor into those sentiments or what...?

Obviously the SMART is just a roll cage on wheels, but for converts, are they sticklers for SCCA roll bar standards? I wanted to do a PDX at MidOhio in two weeks but none of the Goodwin roll bars (and I do mean NONE) meet their standards

They recommended I buy a hardtop *roll eyes* Ever try to find one? they're impossible to come across and when you do they're nearly as much as a full cage...

All a huge bummer cause I just ordered my roll bar and brake kit, too

Hmm. East ave exit is on the side going west though... I'll have to pay attention tomorrow. The hell of it is I always go 224 to 77 and decided to try kenmore leg instead today!

Verts need rollbars. They don't check thicknesses or anything, just that you have one.

As far as dangerous... I dunno?? It's bumpy in spots for sure. But I've been on it in stock suspensioned cars and stiff cars. But none of the cars I take are FAST lol. I did drive a lightly modded viper GTS around a few times but we won't go into what happened lol.

I have a gopro vid on YouTube of the miata in car.... Let me find it so you can at least see the track surface.

Yea... It's supposed to rain. I won't be going if it rains. I'm not sure if it's because all the weight is in the rear or the skinny tires in front but hitting turns fast in the wet in the smart is impossible, I tried last night. Front end slides like a mofo and there's nothing you can do

As for work on the 6 this week, I haven't gotten the shift linkage bracket done yet, and I still haven't heard from either machine shop.

Accident last night was a motorcycle crash but they aren't releasing details. Happened at 2pm. I got into it at 4. Must have been a pretty good crash.

at 5 the kenmore leg was backed all the way up to 224.
Co-worker's fiance works for ODOT and he called us to warn us.

Looks like I will be heading up to Shaker Heights here shortly, atleast I get sent in the stick work truck.

At 4:15 it was almost to 224! And by 4:25 77s(the part that comes off 21) was backed up to Montrose! It was nuts.

I now see the irony in the kid on the crotch rocket going the way I did to avoid it, weaving thru traffic at triple digits...

Nelson is worthy of mixed reviews. It's super fun to drive, but it gets old real fast in my opinion. It just beats you up because it is so bumpy. The last time I was there a piece of the track was coming up in the carousel so the hole that was developing had to be avoided. As far as it being dangerous... there are just places where if you have a major off bad things will happen. Turn 1 and the carousel being perfect examples.

What requirements aren't met by the bars Goodwin carries? I'm just curious.

I also had coffee, hasn't kicked in yet.

Nelsons is fun, good way to get a fix. It is tiring after a while, once I had to avoid a raccoon right in the middle of the track before the carousel, someone in front of me hit it and it stayed till the session was over... for the price I can't complain, I'll be there once I get a roll bar. Just don't go all out, 70 maybe 80%, you'll be safe and have fun
