The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

there is little to no chance of boiling your fluid in autox, flush the system when you get the lines

Yeah, you won't use the brakes anywhere near as much as you think you may, especially on a first event. I only ever used mine with the MSM to scrub off a little speed, or balance the car before the next turn.

As Phen stated you should not get to any point where you have brake issues at an autocross, but to each his own. I have never had any issues in the MSP, even when using regular brake fluid. With that being said, to each hi own, do what you feel is necessary. NOTE: will said he had a co-driver, with no breaks between runs, you should also get a sprayer with water to cool off the intercooler and intake after your runs,

Will boiled his fluid last weekend. It was 100 degrees but I'm still not taking any chances. $20 and a couple hours is worth the peace of mind.

not saying it can't happen, but that doesn't sound right, brakes are used very little in autox unless you're driving a really high powered car like a vette, M5 or supped up EVO. Still up to you, but I wouldn't bother

Just saw your sig peach. Have you seen the documentary on Senna? He is quite possibly my favorite F1 driver and probably the greatest yet IMO. Being so far ahead of the pack that they tell you to slow down is amazing in F1.

yeah, I have a copy of the 2 1/2 hour one. That's what we watched at the last movie night

145\hour for tuning ain't bad, it usually goes for 250...

Yeah $145 is pretty good for 3hrs. Looks like someone will be working extra parking shifts this summerto pay for a tune.

On another note random BUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA referring to my MSP:)

yeah the price isnt bad, but he said 3 hours for 2 maps. it would run up to about 450 bucks. i just need someone who has some experience with road tuning to ride along with me,

I 3rd that, you only use your brakes for a very short time but you use them very hard. something you should bring is an extra bag of ice (leave it in the bag) to put on your intercooler to offset the heat soak.

yeah, but remember to take the ice off when you run ... lol ... marlon used a freezer pack of mine once at the ledges and forgot to take it off ... it fell off in turn one and he got black flagged to come in and one of our other buddies that was running was like "wtf is that on the track?" ...

I used ice water all last year for my SMIC, but this new Mishimoto FMIC is crazy different from last year. I might just do a converter like Adam and I were talking about awhile ago and convert the window washer fluid bottle into a intercooler sprayer and would never have to leave the driver seat, except for to mingle in the grid between runs. It should be a nice day and good times as always with you guys. Looking forward to seeing you all again. I live right off the turnpike exit so if you want to give me a call when you guys are almost to there let me know and I could take you straight there so there is no confusion on the airport entrance is you like. Evan has my number.

Hmm... I thought that things that had the ability to put fluids down on the track surface were frowned upon? Things such as intercooler sprayers that weren't OEM supplied like the STI's.

everyone show up to coreys a little early too, he usually makes omlettes and bacon for everyone before we head to the course.

I think Ivan and I are following Marc out there, he knows where to go. But way to go on inviting everyone to Croeys house for breakfast, AJ. Haha (Just kidding with ya, mate)

Oh- and if it's not raining we're meeting at Menchies again for frozen yogurt. :)
