The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'm getting a weird ticking noise when accelerating and at an idle. Don't know if is because of the EGR code or what but it is a 1inch block connected to some vaccum lines and a electrical connecter by the throttle body. Just another noise my car is making besides the sway bar. Good times!

Ya think? She'll be be better and back on track next month and you can buy the springs and have the master cylinder replaced on the Taurus and then you have your precious garage space.

not yet, gonna try some high temp silicone on monday. haven't had the time to really do it yet
 
I'm back..... sort of. Stuck at the Atlanta airport at the moment. Flying out of Jamaica and Atlanta is awful.

Yeah. My old manager knew I got ****** over and called his friend who's a GSM for another dealer. Got lucky I think.

Cool. I'll take a pic tomorrow of the part making the sound. I'm guessing it is from the EGR being dead, but who knows? As for the rear sway bar I have come to realize (along time ago) that Toledo roads SUCK ASS and I'm either going to have to replace it to stock or modify the AWR. So I'm thinking about modding the AWR tomorrow and cutting off the 5 inch end section I don't use that is hitting the lateral links. Going to make a plug and weld it in the end of the tubing, making it shorter and still using the functional part of the bar and getting rid of the overhang.

went to Dayton for a welcome home party for a friend in the army, got back to my car and my vent visor was broken on my driver's door. In a church parking lot none the less. No other damage atleast.
 
Thanks! Moving to the North Olmsted GFS Marketplace as the Shift Leader (which is the lowest of four managers). It is a big increase in pay, albeit still an hourly wage. One step away from a salaried assistant manager position...I hope to get there within a year or maybe two.

Still living at home for now, looking to save up money to pay off my car, buy something shiny, and buy a house... Time to start real life!

Just cut the rear swaybar and it is 10 times better now. No more hitting the lateral arms, yeah! A few minor adjustments for tomorrow and it's on like donkey kong for the 4th event of NWORSCCA.

Can anyone explain to me how a '10 MS3 can get the same MPG as a '09-'10 ish Ford Explorer? Or is my friend just making excuses for the trade he just completed?

Said he wanted something bigger, NOT needed something bigger, just wanted. He hasn't had the MS3 that long, < 2 years. I was ragging him that he'll be bitching about the MPG's in no time, but he said they're the same!?

Is he high? I don't know for sure and I am not going to research it but I would think that the MPG difference is at least 10 MPG.
