The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

um, when, shortly after the dyno day last year

why, cause i had the pass. mount and freshly installed trz rear mount and the engine barely moved then, no need for the etd at that point

They must be some of the guys I pissed off at Dragway 42 when I went with the Miata. Consistently trapping 100+, even when I blew out 2nd gear.

Oh I wish I had been there! I hate Murikan rice 100x more than regular rice.

Is there a word for "V-8 ricers"? People who are so pro V-8's it's ignorant? They make comments that are just as dumb as ricers who believe the wing on their FWD car does something, and that stickers add HP.

I'm getting pretty sick of people who believe "there's no replacement for displacement". I'm giving one of these guys s*** on the Trailblazer forum, and he had the nerve to say ""Frankly, any V-8 or V-12 could smear any turbo 4"

Wow...

The Red Neck hand manual must go something like this:
1) look down, check for dick
2) if it's not adequate (80% chance) and you like cars, see 3), for trucks, skip to 4)
3) buy a V8 that gets -3 mpg and isn't really that fast but it's hellaloud, so it makes up for it
4) buy a truck and put a 10 foot lift on it
5) make fun of people who buy imports (lots of which are actually made in America, unlike many "dumbestics") and like a) reliability, b) mpgs, c) resell value d) HANDLING
6) constantly talk about how a v8 can smoke anything
7) put an "aggressive" body kit on your rustang because Murikan stuff can't ever be rice, see example*
8) cover all non-functional vents (ie. all of them, even your RAM AIRRRR!!) with chicken wire to really set it off

Perfect, now it runs low 12's with the auto v6

Perfect explanation.

Some people just don't know when to shut up. I know my 79 TA is slow with it's 403 big block and my MSP would leave it in the dust, but I don't blab that it would beat anything. On the other hand I have friend with a 90's slomaro with exhaust is the s***, when really it is s***. Some people just make me laugh and make my day.

My camaro can beat my msp, while it's on stands. From factory the camaro only had 145hp, it might be pushing 90hp on a good day.

I think my battery is dead. The charger doesn't want to charge it even though I had a trickle on it the whole time till I put it in the car and only left it off for a day after starting it and letting it run a little bit. It's a red top so at least I'll get a free replacement if it's bad. Holding me up from finding my vac leak though

You can always try this first. Put a good battery in series with your dead one and then charge both at the same time.

new battery, the red top died so free replacement. Vac is down to 18 and with starter fluid the leaks seem to be at the corners of the intake mani. Gotta try to tighten those bolts down but I think they might be stripped.

Bolt on the passenger side intake mani def. stripped. not sure how to get it out but was thinking, since I'm at 18 and base is 20 I'm not that far off how bad would it be to drive it that way for a little bit? not racing or anything and stying out of boost

This is great I was laughing and it was just me home and my dad wont race me with his built El Camino. I drove them both and I would take him.

So I figured out what the noise coming from the driver rear wheel was. I finally figured out it was from the brakes because the noise would go away when I held pressure on the brake pedal. It was the brake caliper rattling around. The metal anti-rattle clip thingy that goes on the outside front of the caliper was somehow bent and barely tight at all. So I tried bending it back to make it tighter on the caliper, which was a b**** to do with only a pair of pliers. Now I just gotta figure put the boost gauge issue.

Has anyone ever watched Touge Battle? If so, check out American Touge battle. The two Japanese dudes that do the battles in Japan come to Cali and race American tuned cars around Horse Thief Mile. It's pretty sick because the Japanese dudes are very surprised to see cars tuned at the same level as the best Japanese tuners.

I am counting the days down to Cali and the Grand-Am race @ Mazda Raceway! Wait, I forgot, that I am tracking the Spicy 1 @ BeaveRun on Sunday, with Lauri, Tom and Doc. We have Chippy's party on Saturday.......Happy Friday Eve Vallejo Bitches!!!

got all my hair chopped off last night, took the msp around the block with out a hood. The power steering wants to fight me at low speed but above 15ish it seems fine.
