Well training classes and webinar classes are my daily chores for the next couple of months in addition to my normal duties. trying to avoid the boredome of it all!
I miss the days of being bored here at work. Now I'm overwhelmed. What makes it worse is that my boss has this vision of how I should be executing my projects, so... I'm trying to follow his ideas. It's a nice thought until it completely bites me in the ass, like it has over the last 3 weeks. My primary helper transferred to a different department. My backup helper is on vacation until the 27th. Someone else started helping me on Monday with some BS work that needs to get done, and he got sent out for a meeting out of town, late notice. Those left in the office are swamped with their own stuff and also looking for helpers too. yay for more long days. I will say one thing... those 4 days in Jamaica definitely helped... all the way up till the moment I walked in the door here on Monday.

That is what is scaring me about going to cali, coming back and having to play catch up...sucks but we have to do what we have to do.....

Good stuff for Dyson and Mazda. Oh and the word on the street is that McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) and Mazda will be taking an LMP2 car to Le Mans next year.

Dyson has 3 LMP 2 cars, they have a 3rd that was running a new Bio Fukles a couple of year ago, but the BP disaster happend so that was tabled. Thye just got more funding to run the 2nd car again, hopefully Ben Devlin will be driving.
finally got some time to work on Audrey again, got the cold side routed, now for the hot side which needs more cutting. Then just need to run a vac line from the BOV and get the fans installed (gotta make some brackets). Then comes the moment of truth.
So... some folks are coming over Saturday to work on the BMW with me. My dad is one, one of his friends from work, my buddy Gareth from Ann Arbor is a possibility, and this guy Tony from the BMW club who just bought a Land Rover from the UK and had it imported is driving thru. Any and all are welcome. The only thing I plan to work on is putting the alternator in and doing some tuning.

I would, but I'm off to FL. Seems every time you're in the mood for wrenching, I'm not in the same state...
How's everyone's day going? Mine has been amazing and calm.
Our building lost power, which isn't too big of a deal because we have UPS's that can keep the entire data-center powered for 10 minutes until the natural gas generators kick on. Well...the one generator decided to start bogging down and surging power to the UPS's, overloading their power modules and basically rendering them useless. So then the generator stopped producing power for a minute and we lost power to about 100 servers...our customers aren't very happy. Now we've brought in 2 more generators and the Electric company is trying to work on the actual issue. Damn I've never heard the support phones ring so much!!! Such a fun day it's been!! LOL

same as the last couple of weeks, working on a deadline... hints of our project were leaked yesterday (on purpose of course, not by us) and it's been getting a lot of attention...
