YET another "vendor" bites the dust (by his own doing) {although said vendor is still on here and all threads on this forum regarding the matter have been deleted}



EDIT: Found it and read the thread on this site....its a shame....I wanted his short shifter in case I didn't have the funds and needed a mod on a budget....I guess it wouldn't be worth it. Once I asked him to get me some stock spark plugs (but Densos) and he never replied. They were at my door the next day from 'the unspeakable site' Still, a shame because I love looking at that site and seeing the great prices...must be shodddy stuff tho

understandable, i kinda had a feeling that's who it was gonna be. link didn't work but that's ok


when i needed brake rotors i sent a message to see if they were in stock, by they time i got a reply 2 months later, i already contacted tri-sport, ordered, recieved and installed.

Umm, like I said, it's just disappointing because I planned on going through him to buy a FMIC and possibly a short shifter sometime. Now I have to spend double on a FMIC (or use CX Racing, not sure how good that would be...)....as for the short shifter, Marlon to the rescue! (Eventually....) But that one was cheap from there...
 
pg's fmic don't seem any different from other's price wise. unless it's a forum special i'm not seeing

I'm going with a knock off cause that's what i could afford and at my power level i don't think it'll make a big diff

For what it's worth, I've heard the quality is pretty dang good for ebay stuff. The fitment probably isn't quite the same as a 1k$ IC, buuut you get what you pay for. :)

What's the big deal though? Everyone knows Protege Garage is terrible at email replies and shipping dates. We've all known this. It's nothing new. Just another nail in their coffin.

there's not many big items left that i can think of that i need/want at the moment besides a standalone, doubt i'll get one for x-mas.

Has anyone done the doc b oil system coating? wondering if it's worth it and can i get a new oil pump from napa to get that coated or should i stik with an oem one?

Don't worry, you will be the first person I talk to before I buy something! The short shifter will go through you, as well as BC coilovers for sure, since I know your connections with that 'unspeakable' company. I just need the money...The FMIC was down the road, not something I'm real concerned about or wanting.

Speaking of the PG FMIC, the piping for the MS3 was only like $350, a core is about $100...I could even find T-bolt clamps elsewhere and get it all for about $500. The next cheapest FMIC is about $900 for the MS3....that is all, it is good to hear CX Racing may be okay.

Part of my chipmunk personality--I do a lot of talking/thinking and not a lot of action. I just don't have the funds, so I have to hoarde my nuts, ya know?

Edit: I'm so wordy. Everyone has like a sentence or two and all my posts include paragraphs. WTF?

Intercoolers aren't car specific. You can always get a cheaper universal kit and do a bit of extra work to route the piping.

BCs are OK for the road but if you plan on doing any track events down the road, I would suggest save a little more and get KWs or the custom set from Tri-point, you won't be sorry

Nope. I wanted to drop a BP in mine. Same mounting points and great potential.
 
Just a heads up... I wouldn't go too far outside of the Ohio threads talking about PG right now. I can't divulge info as to why, but it's just a good idea to keep it down for a bit.
