That's freakin awesome! (first) I like to buy American for everything.. except cars. Dunno why, just no domestic gives me chills like that 70's and 80's stuff from Japan.
Semi-related: My uncle was telling me once how he used to carry a baseball bat in his truck with him just in case. He said he did that until he found out that a baseball bat falls under "deadly weapons." He said, "so now I carry a hatchet!" Then, while he was driving on day, he changed lanes in front of a guy, making sure he had enough room, you know, taking care not to cut the guy off. Anyway, he pulls up the to red light and that guy pulls up to him in the lane next to him saluting him. So he reaches over, lays down the seat and while maintaining eye contact, lays his hatchet on the dash. He said that the guy quickly checked the light and became suddenly very interested in when it would turn green. (evil)

I think a lot of jail-worthy behavior makes for good stories.

I run with BMC because it's so cheap. $30 for 11-12 runs? Sounds worth it to me. At this point, it's perfect: Low-key, no pressure to have fun and learn how to be a better driver. And it's a bunch of really good guys. Hell, one of them even let me drive his 1991 Miata!
Yeah, this is hosted by the Buckeye Miata Club. You compete against only those who participate throughout the year. No pressure really. The Miatas are broken down into their groups while everything else is grouped together in STX. You can usually find someone to compete with. For example, for me last week, it was an 01 Prelude, an old-ass Civic and an 03 RSX TypeS.

I think it's based in Columbus. If you go to their site, the only events they list are in Columbus. Should try to come up for one. You can crash at my place if you want so you don't have to get up ass-early and drive up.

Yeah, of course you can. If you participate in 3, you get a trophy at the end of the year.

^^^^Where did you find a picture of my car at? I was saving that for the fun run, but must've accidentally uploaded a pic to my flickr account. Anyways, now that the secret is out, yeah that is my car. I let a buddy named Ken Block drive it a couple times. He does some sort of car karate stuff with it called gymkhana. I dunno....
Ummm I considered for a second finding vinyl to go on the spoiler--as long as it was easily removable (i don't know much about vinyl).....and if someone has a spare front emblem they wanna give me that will fit my Speed3, I will paint it the same lime green....
