The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

No offense to you cool MS3 owners, but the owners don't have to be in high school to be pulling some really dumb s***...
LOL, I was going to say the same thing, but hesitated. I don't venture too far into the MS3 sections - they scare me, haha!

yeah... I don't hesitate, but I chose where to say it. Most of the folks on here that know me personally know that I say what I mean.

Hey this isn't MSF...

I can't stand reading that s***, sorry.

But I do understand the stigma that comes with buying an MS3. Unfortunately I didn't think it existed. (I thought the MS3 was "more experienced" than a Cobalt or Srt4.) NOPE! Oh well, I am not in the category of doing dumb stuff out of fear of breaking something on my car while still owing $12,000 on it and going through college.

Oh and I really wanted a MS6 but they were far and few between and more pricy. So I ate the AWD idea and went for MOAR SPPPEEED

Oh trust me man, I wanted an MS3 soooo bad when they were first released. I was at the dealership, test drove one, working on financing. Things didn't work in my favor. After meeting several MS3 guys out of state, reading things on M3F, MSF, etc, and then dealing with the MSF spamming of this site. Yeah... a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. When I was looking for a car last April, I had 3 choices. MS6, MSM, RX8. MS3 has been removed from my list.

Yup... I wanted a MS6 and ended up with a CX-7 for 2 years... go figure

Then this past fall the cash for clunkers deal came out and I straight up even traded my dad's 1995 F150 for my 2007 CX-7, then planned on using the Cash for Clunkers deal to buy a brand new 09 or maybe even 10 MS3. Of course, the government being what it is changed some of the requirements and I couldn't purchase a new one on trade in for $$$ for clunkers. But at that point there was no turning back, by now I needed a MS3 or MS6, and found my 08 MS3....they took $800 trade in on the truck that would have gotten $4000 under cash for clunkers. Plus I get the S-Plan or whatever for buying new, making it cheaper....But no regrets

And this story really has no point towards our conversation. Enjoy reading!

Yup. This is quite a random thread filled with awesomeness such as my story

Nice!^^^

To go back to what I was trying to say, I hardly visit the MS3 forums because I feel that if I need something done to my car I can rely on the knowledge of people who know cars in general. I only visit a MS3 forum for specificd details or reviews. That is why I like this Ohio only forum, because I know everyone is close by to me and passionate about cars rather than taking knowledge from some kid with a heavily modified MS3 his parents bought him.

Done, back to random thoughts, such as: If I am becoming a high school history teacher, why the hell doI have to take a class, do homework, and waste valuable time learning how to teach reading in my classroom.

Anyone from the Revere School District area? Bath, Richfield, etc.... I'm loving the back roads around that spot... Twisties... I spend tuesday and thursday mornings at Revere High School and love the drive in (takes me about 30 minutes from home)!

I like Calvin & Hobbes.

I don't like MS3 owners.

I like boobies too. Mmmmm... boobies...

because if you don't teach them how to read they won't understand the history you're trying to teach them

and boobies are a great thing

Damn... I make one trip home from my hotel in Kentucky to find 3 pages full of random s***.

I bought my MS3 because I found a deal on it and it seemed like a fun but also practical replacement to my Vibe in the event of it's death. I did not know there was such an overwhelming hatred towards the owners of these cars. I still don't understand it. The guys I have met with MS3's have all been good guys like Sunny, Patrick, Tony Curt-licker, and s*** I Forgothisname. Nice guys who like cars in general and appreciate the good in any car. I have still yet to meet one of the stereotypical MS3 owners you guys rant about.

Also I keep having to stop subbing to threads about rice cars, sickest cars, slammed cars, because no one will grasp the idea that everyone has different tastes. People are posting what they feel is sick, or slammed, or rice. Granted the rice threads are really the epitome of bashing things you don't understand. It's like everyone who ever does any sort of modification to their car has to be well funded and the same taste in things as me or else they are rice or re todd ed.

I'm tired... worn out from work this week.. that rant felt slightly good..

I went to Revere schools for kindergarten, 1st, and half of second grade... :D

My grandpa did still live in Bath until last year, RIP.
