Sweet, S5 and same year as mine. Any more details, like trim, interior/exterior color, engine, etc? I imagine for $500 there either isn't a lot there or what is there is in sorry shape. But yeah, depending on all that there are several things I'd be after.

Hell, I'd have sold you my seats if you asked. One of the things I want to do this spring is install my Sparco seats from the P5 into the RX7.

its all white great shape. he said the motor just one day died and the parked it in the garage and never messed with it, its got a full hks exhaust on it. the scoop on the hood. not sure if that was on certain ones or not. it has mazdaspeed seats and sterring wheel thats all i really want.

this is what it looks like. now this pic is off some web site but you get the idea.

The scoops came from the factory on TII's (Turbo 2's).

Why do you want the seats for? I hate the seats from fc's lol.

ooh ok didnt know that i really like the mazdaspeed seats they r comfortable and look nice

Yeah, if it is indeed a TII, there's about 1000 things I want off it including but not limited to: engine (I don't care if it's blown), transmission, driveshaft, rear end, starter, clutch slave, etc. Have any more pictures of the engine bay, interior, etc? Hell, depending on the condition I may have to take the trailer up there and grab the whole thing when you're done with it. Definitely keep me updated!

EDIT: If you get it for $500 and just want the seats and steering wheel, how much would you want for the rest of it?

Mazdaspeed seats in an FC? so it doesn't have the original seats anymore?

You gonna use the whole trans or just take the lsd out? I assume thats why you would want the trans...

Probably eBay special Mazdaspeed seats.

Well if it really is a TII and I can get the rolling chassis I have a number of options. I can rebuild the TII (not hard) and keep the GXL as a daily. Or if it needs too much work I'll take the engine, drivetrain and whatever else I need, ditch the turbo and go 4-port bridgeported N/A in the GXL. Either way, I'd rather swap the entire drivetrain in because the TII is stronger overall and I'd rather have everything fit together than have to go custom.

What is this? I googled but couldn't find any good results...

I'm sure you already know this but the FC's had two different (technically 4) engine configurations. The TII's were 4-port (4 intake ports) and the N/A's were 6-port (6 total intake ports, two of which are auxilliary that above above 5500 RPM - kind of like VICS on the Protege's). Basically most N/A builders have had more success porting and building the 4-port turbo motors than the 6-port motors. The basic idea is to take a 4-port turbo motor, ditch all the turbo stuff, bridgeport or peripheral port the engine and go with a custom intake. This is my N/A plan so I need to track down a 4-port motor. If this RX7 is indeed a TII I have two options like a mentioned above.

They is another theory out there with semi-peripheral ports on a 6-port engine in which the auxilliaries are actually used for idle and part-throttle with the p-ports closed and then the auxilliaries close and p-ports open at WOT. This way, idle and fuel economy is maintained and peak power is also maximized. P-ports don't really like being run at anything other than WOT.
