The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

it was priced super low but still not low enough for what it was. At the end the sales guy told me the owner is just trying to get back what he paid at auction. I'm almost told him if he wants cut his loses and get rid of it to give me a call but I don't want another project. Amber wants me to finish the msp and get a dd/beater that's why I went to go look but on a 6k budget I'm not finding much. I'm gonna look at a p5 with Nick on saturday so we'll see.

Finally heard from Huntington about the job I was told I was going to be offered, apparently they forgot and offered it to someone else.

Damn man I'm sorry to hear about the job. That's absolute horse s***.

With 6k, you can easily find a reliable daily driver. You should be able to find one hell of a P5 for 6k these days.

haven't found much yet, atleast in columbus

automatic :(

Forsooth.

My buddy got a 99 Si for like 3750 or something a while ago. It was black, had 120k on it, pretty much all stock except for a Thermal Research axle back or something. It had a different motor in it, which we discovered by the non-matchin VIN later, but it ran fine, pulled hard, and had no extra noises. I can't even imagine anyone listing one for almost 10k unless it was fully built and ran in the 12's or something. I mean come on:

Anyone use Hotwire or Priceline to book hotels?

We had some ticket credits to use on Southwest, so we're going to Chicago in February. Only cost us another $45. For s**** and giggles, decided to give hotwire a try. 4 star hotel in the "area" we want to be in, for $80/night? Sure...let's roll the dice.

FML....got some uppity, eco-friendly, weird modern designed hotel that I wouldn't have given a second thought about normally. I mean, they only offer free parking for Hybrids, that's what kind of hotel it is! And it's one of the farthest hotels from where we wanted to be, right on the outskirts of the shaded "area". It would still be walkable to get everywhere in downtown Chicago, but not so much in the middle of February....single digit temps and negative windchills!

I used hotwire once, found a decent hotel near the embassy in chicago.

on another note, man that was a great concert. STEEL PANTHER ROCKS!

Josh ~ I use hotwire alot, but have never done one of their 'hot deals' where you get a great rate but they don't tell you where until after you book and pay ... i don't trust that. but i've gotten pretty decent rates on hotels and rental cars from time to time.

Nate ~ brook park is super close to pablo ... if you are seriously interested in that 6 wagon, maybe he can take a peak for you. so sad when people don't take care of their cars the way we all do ... no love : (

I never wanted to try the hot deals either. I mean, how the hell do you book a hotel without seeing it?? But we figured, how bad could a 4 star place be? And we're only staying 3 nights.

I'm sure this one is nice, it's just not our normal cup of tea. lol
