The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Sure...let's roll the dice.

FML....got some uppity, eco-friendly hotel that only offers free parking for Hybrids!

I would have a hard time not punching the owner in the face. I'm not sure why that kind of retardedness cooks my giblets the way it does, but it does.

I use hotwire alot, but have never done one of their 'hot deals' where you get a great rate but they don't tell you where until after you book and pay ... i don't trust that.

Word, seems like they're trying to book hotels that no one wants because they would otherwise know what it is.

mmmm...ok....well i'm waiting one or two more years to see if they'll bring either the Mazda2 skyactiv or tdi over to the states, (or ship one over if i can)

if not... i'm selling both my cars and buying a hybrid...

yeah that's close to me, have you been in contact with the guy? I can go by and take a look, maybe saturday is best during the day time

haven't contacted him yet but I might tonight. I'm listing all the pros and cons of the 6wagon vs. p5.

looks - 6wagon
mpgs - p5
price - p5
space - 6wagon
engine - wash
insurance - p5 by about $16/year difference
safety- Have to check that out

OK, let me know

I'm pretty sure the wagon will be worth more later if you take care of it, I'd definitively go for that over a P5

I'm leaning towards the 6wagon, just trying be like the Godfather ya know

So... since Pablo mentioned it was an awesome show last night... here's a video from another stop on the same tour.

Mazda2 skyactiv or tdi

I'm totally for both of the first options, but if you buy a hybrid....

I don't really know anything about that 3.0 v6, but I'd take it over the FS any day.

Not only that, but the rust doesn't seem to be nearly as much of a problem.

the p5 without a doubt looks better. but i think the exclusitivity of the 6 wagon should seal the deal, itll also have more power nad youll have some fun with it.

i disagree on the looks, but I could easily put in a kl and probably have a better hp to weight ratio, but I'm not looking to mod anything for power. I'm pretty set on a 6 but i'll have to see if I can stretch the budget and find a good one

the wagon's v6 is a ford duratec 3.0 from the limited research I have done, hence the wash rating. I know what I'd be getting with the FS, not so sure about the duratec.

i'm only on page 375...it depends on what you have your settings at (i have the most amount of post per page and no sigs visible)

happy 1000th page!

omg...remember, it's all in your settings...

i'm wondering how much it would realistically cost to ship a car from overseas...

hahaha! i almost traded the MSM for a 2000 honda insight a couple of weeks ago! :D ...but still going to wait a year or so, we'll see...

Exactly. If I saw this hotel in my own searches, I wouldn't have given it a second look.

And my vote is a 6 wagon for sure Nate, especially the sport versions! I wish I could've gotten one, but they were a little out of my price range at the time. Sport versions are VERY rare as well.

why would you be excited about trading your msm for an insight..... thats like dropping so many notches.

and nate thats why i say the 6 wagon because you are not interested in dropping a v6 into your daily.

same reason he bought an fc rx7 and let it set and modded the protege more.... the things Grandpa does cant be explained or understood, its best to just let gramps do his own thing haha

Ah yes, I forgot about that. You bring up a very good point, haha.

So here are my options for the MSP for SCCA next year (at least till the new rulebook comes out)
GS - Hell no, not going back to stock
STX - I guess technically I wasn't suppose to be in it because of my ETC SMI which probably had no difference than stock because there was no other mods to pressure, turbo size, or tune. So just to stay lagit... Nope
DSP - ?
SMF - So I can kick AJ's butt :)
FP - ?
XP - for hardcore race cars not dd MSP (I think)?
EM - ^=?
I'm guessing I'll be staying within the DSP or SMF classes.

The duratecs are strong motors, Porsche design for those who do not know....it has ( VVT Mazda Heads of course) Lauri has over 104,000 and no issues and I have 84,000 as well. As far as looks go, I am not a wagon person per se, but the low roof line and the overall styling cues is what sold me and the 5 speed MTX as well.

well i've always wanted an Insight ever since they came out, but i didn't have the funds right out of high school, that's why i had to settle on a protege, yes, i said settle, it's a cheap sedan that my parents help pay for, i didn't really choose mazda...i just ended up with them and have grown to love them! :) unless Mazda comes up with a high mpg car... i'm done with them for a daily driver.

Levi = i let the FC sit because i broke it, lol ...that's why i didn't buy a modded MSM and i'm not going to mod it either...not worth it...

and Grandpa suits me, lol...i drive slow enough as it is! haha
...that, and i've decided to not mod anything anymore, (i can't do much to an Insight, lol), for me it's really a waste of money...FOR ME IT IS, i need to start saving and paying things off.

when i have a much higher paying job, a garage (that's a big one)/ house, and time to tinker with a car, then i will; if i do so, it will have one stock daily driver, and one car to mod, play with, race, and whatnot...

SMF, is your best best..... Mini's and Civics of course. XP you'll get killed by all of the Evo's and the like.....
