The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I have some ATE Super Blue you can use

Thanks, Marlon. But I want to flush the system and would need a couple bottles, like Chris said. I don't want to use up your whole supply.

I would guess 2 bottles to completely flush out all the old fluid and fill with the new. let me know if you decide to order a few bottles.

I'll hunt around online tonight and if I can't find any locally I just order some from TireRack. Want me to order some for you too or do you get a discount from work or something?

I can see what I've got. The biggest issue would be getting it to you, although I will be as far as Wadsworth (Route 94 or Route 261, take your pick) around 3:30p tomorrow...Or you are welcome out my way to either do the work or just come pick up the bleeder anytime--I'm home all evening both today and tomorrow. I need to make sure I have a speed bleeder first!

Thanks, Chippy! Well Pablo will be helping me so I'm sure I can flush/bleed the whole system with a buddy but I just want to make sure there is abosulutely no air in the system and heard speed bleeders are the best for that. Let me know if you find it and I can swing by tomorrow and pick it up.

It's great having friends to help out. Huggies for all. :D

You sure you don't want to just syphon the fluid out? :P

One of my friends on 626.net highly recommended these bleeders. He said they're about 7$ each,

This was what he said:

"I heard about these from a friend who couldn't stop raving about em. I ended up buying em for my 93 Probe GT cuz I needed to bleed the brake system. the bleeders were $7 a pop. Let me just say that I...LOVE...THESE FREAKIN THINGS! They basically replace the stock bleeders screws. Since they've got a check valve that prevents air from entering the system, all I had to do was open a 1/4 to 1/2 turn after installation, attach a hose and press the brakes! What would have been over an hour with three ppl ended up being ten minutes with just me and my lil bro (pretty sure I could've done it myself lol!) The best part is, its a permanent part of your caliper so you can still use it for subsequent flushes. I actually just ended up flushing the whole system!

If anybody out here is gonna change the brake fluid, check out speedbleeders.com, its weeelll worth the price!"

We have a brake bleeding kit--it that is what you need, LOL. Sometime tonight I will go grab it, snap a cell phone pic and text you about it. I gotta eat dinner and give the dog a bath first, LOL!

Well, My Sparco Helmet has arrived and it is on it's way to be painted tomorrow.......I will have my old G-Force up for sell soon........it is a XL

I think we get a small break on it. Something around $8 a bottle plus shipping. Nothing crazy.

enjoying the nice weather. Helped my neighbor replace a hinge on his 94 lincoln town car and been in my mom's garage, almost has room for two cars again. After haveing the battery tender on my Camaro all winter it started right up as always. wish it was safe enough to take for a drive.

I should probably head back to the hotel if I'm coming back in at 10pm tonight...

drove my mom's vette and thought it sounded really good and louder then it used too, only to realize the back section on the drivers side is no longer hooked up.

^Nice. Suspension parts are in the mail and on the way. Just went with Tokico HP series with springs. Wanted to get coilover, but driving the car almost 25,000miles a year is a bitfor them. So for now just new struts and spring. Can't wait.

you won't have anything left to sell when you need to do repairs

I see a crazy fast car, and a crazy fast driver. If I was to buy that, you'd see a crazy fast car being driven by a chickenshit who knows his limitations.

I don't know, I thought it looked like fun. Right up to the point where he crested that hill, A wee bit sketchy for me.
