The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

No big plans, maybe build a sandbox and watch the Indy 500.

Besides the price and more money and or effort needed to make these look good, and the fact they probably wouldn't fit. These would look awesome on the wagon: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181414527114?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648

Quiet in here today...

I keep forgetting we have Monday off. Anyone doing anything fun for the long weekend? Other than Nick, because I'm sure he has to work. nah-nah

I'll be working but I'll be making money so :P

Actually I'll be busy this weekend. Friday I'm going to Springfield with a couple people for a big car show and swap meet. Saturday I have to work obviously, but my wife will be gone Saturday and Sunday. Not sure what I'm going to do. Sunday the car is getting washed, then I'm going to a big Focus owners meet at Quaker Steak in Polaris.

Are you coming down for that? Do you own a Focus?

Yes i am. I am one of the original founders of Spring Into Focus. My buddy started it & i kept it going for a few years until i got tired of 50+ people saying that they were coming & then at the last minute due to weather or other circumstances, not come & only have like 10 cars show up.

Team Sumlin made an appearance a few times as well as a few other mazda peeps. I sold my old fukus to buy the cx7, but still keep in touch with most of the old crew. I'll try to find a pic of last years event at Highbanks later

My mum is funny...

She bought a new 2013 Mazda3 with 40 miles on it. She drove back home to VA and I told her not to forget about her first early oil change. She's never had a new car so she didn't know about it. I told her I went a little crazy with my oil changes on my new motor for Fatty at 50miles, 150 miles 500 miles and 1000 miles. But she has 1400 miles and is going to put another 5k on it travelling for work this month.

So she calls the Mazda dealership in VA and the receptionist tells her she doesn't need an oil change on a new car. So she calls me and said Mazda said it doesn't need it. My words were "Are you going to trust a receptionist who doesn't know s*** about cars or your son who's been working on cars for 15 years?". Haha, she called back and scheduled an oil change at Mazda. ;)

Yeah, no. Never understood the big appeal for those wheels besides rarity.
Think bigger car and slightly bigger wheels

Still no?

It's not going to happen but I can dream.
It appears the forum will be quiet today as well. This week has been killing me.
This will probably be my only check-in for the day, busy here and the boss's boss is in the building.

LOL,

Yeah, I was biting my tongue but I don't like them either. And that eBay link doesn't have any pics of official stickers or Advan logos. I would worry they would be knock-off's.

I guess I'm the only one :(. At that price and that condition it really doesn't matter if they are knock-offs because I'm too cheap. $955.00 is pretty close to brand new RPF1's in the same 17x9 size. Quick Ebay Search Plus I would have to sell the RX-8 wheels & OEM wheels for tires and garage space anyway.

Plus I'm not sure 17x9 can fit with out mad camber yo!

If you like them, get them. Don't let us dictate what you do to your car. I mean, we will still talk crap, but that's nothing new. (lol2)

One day. Probably not, but maybe one day I will.

Has anyone seen a curved TV in person? It blew my mind on the commercials.

Nate's talked about getting a new car for about 2 years. Now that he's got the new car he'll talk about buying wheels for another two years. ;)

I'm allergic to cats so they have no say.

Haven't you seen the internet lately. Cats > dogs

Gettin' the Fiesta ST bug again. Just saw they've got 0% financing and $500 cash back going on right now and I've got a lot available to put down since I haven't spent any money on the RX7 in a while. I should just clean up the 2 and throw it on Craigslist and see what happens.

lol, this is probably going to be true. Not a whole lot of other mod options for this car. We can discuss sway bars or headers if you'd like :)
