So, I checked out a 2014 Mazda3 tonite after work. On the outside, I really like the new grille and the fact that even the Skyactiv has dual exhaust. I'm not a fan of the tiny fog lights, or how the front end seems like it sticks way out though. On the inside, they shrunk the steering wheel and changed the dash. I'm not sure about the radio/info center sticking straight up or the gauges, but it's sure to catch people's eyes.
We took Jen's car to our local tire shop for a free tire rotation and to check for a leak in one of the tires. When we got back the car was done and sitting outside as expected. As we walked in the owner met us just inside the door with "I have some bad news". As we walk to the car he explains how hard it was to find the leak because the wheel is cracked and slightly bent. Needless to say I just about s*** a brick because I most likely won't find another wheel since they have been discontinued for ~6 years now. The shop owner told me about a guy that might be able to weld it. So we went home and I took the wheel off and back to the shop to remove the tire and off to see "the guy". He is pretty sure he can fix it, so I hope he can, we will see tomorrow when I go back to get it. Jen said she hit a pothole so that has to be what caused the crack.

I was the last to leave. I finished my car around 11:30-12 and finished packing up by 12:30am. I think I got home around 1:10am.

No problem. Wish I would've brought a nicer camera than just my phone. I need to get some nice photography equipment one of these days.
My cop sister is in town and I showed her my auto-x video and she said I would've been disqualified in my driving test because they teach cops to shuffles their hands at 5 and 7 on the steering wheel. How stupid is that? That seems so uncomfortable and awkward, I don't see the advantage of driving with your hands on the bottom of the steering wheel.

Thoughts on Ford switching to a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6 in their DP cars next year?
Pretty sure it's the same engine in the Explorer, Flex and SHO Taurus. Wonder how close to the stock engine it will be like Mazda's 2.2 Diesels. Also wond if they'll make a must Mustang with this engine. Might be a hard sell to the V8 die hards but could be slotted inbetween an N/A V6 & V8 maybe.

Ecoboost v6 out powers the 5.0L, plus can be tuned to hell. I do know the SHO will blow at approximately 35psi, so 25 psi should make the car pretty fun.
