Some will be the lollipop man (sign holder), tire changer assistant, deadman (helps the fueler and fire bottle holder) and we'll have a tire runner as well. We will be holding a raffle for these positions @ Mid-Ohio.
May not seem like much, but if the sign is in the wrong plwace that means the car is in the wrong place and if the tire is not where it is supposed to be you've cost the team time and if the car doesn't get fuel, well, yuo've lost the race.
Speed may do a small feature on Team Ohio for this race, I know Grand-am is trying to promote this.

I'm pretty stoked for a good weekend. A friend is bringing his P5 over today for coilovers, VTCS removal and port/polish on his intake mani and installing a wideband. Then Saturday another friend is coming over to do his VTCS removal on his Mazda3 (SOOO much easier than a Protege). Then Sunday a friend won tickets to see The Swell Season and invited me to go with her to The House Of Blues. I'm pretty excited, I really like them. Then Monday I aint doing s*** but playing video games, mowing the lawn and washing my car. It's gonna be a great weekend. (cabpatch)
You guys have fun at Limerock! Drive safe and be safe with all the large amounts of alcohol I'm sure will be consumed!

I was sitting on my balcony at my apt about 30 min. ago its on the third (top) floor. I see this red monte carlo (like the newer gen. style ) pull into the parking space below me. He and his girl get out of the car and he goes to the trunk and gets out a bottle of oil. She asks him "what are you doing with that?" he replies "I gotta put it in my car my oils low and I dont want it to get hot in my car". So he goes around opens the hood and starts pouring it in. A few seconds later plumes of smoke come out then it started flaming lol. The dude started yelling at the girl to get the fire extinguisher after burning for a minute or so they put it out (hand)
There's gotta b more to this story...
No thats about it he ran around his car alittle bit freaking out when she went in the apt's to get the extinguisher. At one point he closed the hood until she brought it out. Im sure it was because he spilled oil on his hot engine/exhaust. I would have helped but Im on the third floor and it was in the back of my apt so I thought they would be quicker than me. Plus I didnt wanna be the one to break the glass to get one of the extinguishers. I did think it was funny he was worried about the oil bottle bein in his car in the sun but thought it was a good idea to attempt to put it in his hot engine without a funnel.
Watched the Lime Rock Grand-Am race today.....and my dad saw Phen applauding his winning effort as a crew member for the #68 SpeedSource RX-8 at the end of the race. I didn't see it, and am waiting on confirmation via my girlfriend's TIVO.... anyhow, that is awesome!
