The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

On another note, who all is coming to Gripped Ohio/Cleveland Racing's SONIC meet tonight in Parma? We'll be there as long as it's not raining! Half price shakes after 8pm FTW!! lesson learned, get in line early!!

I'm going to try to make it out there tonight if I don't have to work.

i've heard of AEP's land, it's out by Zanesville and stuff right? I've only ever been there once- drove by Big Muskie's bucket and stopped to take a look.
It's the bucket from i think the world's largest dragline, pretty cool. You look at it then you look at the valley it carved out.
Good job with reclamation AEP.... not so much for the mining companies in West Virginia who blow the tops off a mountain and leave behind a rocky barren wasteland for the next... well it's pretty much like that forever ;)

I believe camping is free in our national forests as well, just as long as it's on national forest land and not in some dude's backyard. On my longer vacations/trips or whatever you'll call 'em we stay on national forest land to keep things cheap. In ohio, we've got Wayne national Forest split up into 3 districts, and i know the Marietta and Athens districts have long backpacking trails with campsites along them.

Well I got numerous files off my desk today (jobs that are done and fully constructed. I love the extra room I have now.

Yep, it's about an hour southwest (mostly west) of Zanesville not far from The Wilds. From what I've seen every partk can set a fee for camping if they'd like, but that could just be at the state park level. I don't get to do alot of camping at other places so my knowledge is limited on that.

Can anyone point me to someone who can weld in a catalytic converter and possibly fix some exhaust leaks caused by poor welds done in the past. This is for the 92 Protege I want to get registered again (has temp plates now).

Got my tires mounted yesterday and replaced the shot rsb bushings. Squeaks are gone now! Now to figure out the other noise im getting from that area. Endlinks are in good condition, and the struts are too. Im thinking maybe thats just the way it is with a 32mm sway bar.

you by chance upgrade the brake pads?

Car had ebc green stuff when i got it. The sound is like a popping body panel...like if you push in the door and let the panel pop back out. Only does iy over speedbumps. But its annoying

Edit: it could be the exhaust hitting the frame too. It has a ton of play and rattles at idle on uneven roads when one side of the car is sitting higher than the other. I picked up a new corksport hanger from jake last night and will be putting that on later. That may solve it...its moving side to side quite a bit on the stock hanger

I just got an email from our normal blueprint company, they had a fire last week and are out of production. Well crap, now I need to find a company that can make 4 sets of a 82 page plan set for a meeting tonight at 5, an hour away from the office.

Rick at big3 does quality welding.
Also, I had good experience will Mufflers for Less off 480.

So I'm driving down market street heading towards campus
and coming the other direction i see a shirtless kid, maybe 7-8
years old riding a mini-bike with a girl the same age hanging on
the back of him. 5 seconds later, a cop passes and I look in my
mirror and he's pulling them over in front of Van DeVere .

2 things:
1. Those kids have some serious balls to do that s*** on such a
busy street.

2. Where the **** are their parents!?

I'm trying to eliminate the noises from my rear end too. Replaced sway bar bushings, made sure they're lubed up, endlinks are as tight as I can possibly get them. I just bought some new Moog rear endlinks and I'm going to swap them. The stock endlinks have 100k miles on them and it's difficult getting them tight with the design (******* allen key crap). The Moog endlinks have a much better design that allows you to tighten them without having to hold a stupid allen key in the middle to keep it from spinning lol.

Sounds like a couple of Darwin award winners if you ask me.

Let me know if the endlinks help with the noise.

No kidding!
