The new server stole my girlfriend / burnt my house / gave me hepatitis, etc...

Look at attached pictures.

Just noticed...Posting, PMing etc seem delayed for some reason....Browsing is fast as ever though...Is it just on my end or..???

That may be, the post database is like 5 million rows. We could prune / archive. I am hoping Vb4 will scale better than vb3, so we should wait till then to make a decision. Performance wise though, on the whole, we should be much much faster than before.

Speed boost is definitely noticeable. Me likey! No other probs that I have found.

other then constand ly down in the classified's no issues... it seems to be faster.. maybe that was due to the change on vb3 to vb4

That would make sense...However, I have noticed an overall massive boost in speed and performance which I'm sure the entire Community is very happy about...Myself included of course...(rockon)

As for VB4...I've already upgraded our vBulletin license in anticipation for VB4...Can't wait to try the new version once it has been thoroughly tested!

On another note...It seems on my end that email notifications are down...? I haven't received any site e-mails since we upgraded...Just me or is there a problem with the email server/system?

So far today has been smooth sailing. Seems like better response and control in your User CP as well. I don't see the same threads I've already checked when I log in periodically.

Emails are working fine. I got my daily updates...

(attn) Seems some Members are having trouble logging in!?!?

Tell them to do two things:

1. Clear the browser cache
2. In a command prompt window, type: ipconfig /flushdns

FYI, there was something with the email that was busted, it could have caused problems with some people.

Thanks for the prompt response guys...Seems email notifications are working on my end again (thumb)...Now about this password/long-in issue...?

Is that the only solution?

They may try this first:

How do I clear cookies?

In Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP: Click the 'Tools' menu. Select 'Internet Options' from the menu that appears. Click 'Delete Cookies' on the dialog box that appears. It will be in the center area of the 'General' tab.
In Internet Explorer 7: Click the 'Tools' menu. Select 'Internet Options' from the menu that appears. Click 'Delete...', beneath 'Browsing History' on the dialog box that appears. It will be in the center area of the 'General' tab. Click 'Delete cookies...' on the next dialog box that appears.
In Firefox: Click the 'Tools' menu. Select 'Options' from the menu that appears. From the dialog box, select 'Privacy' on the left. Find 'Cookies' on the main pane, and click the 'Clear' button adjacent to it.
In Safari: Go to Preferences, Security, then show Cookies and either select 'Remove all' or select individual cookies and then the 'Delete' button.
In Opera: Go to Tools, Preferences, Advanced, Cookies, Manage cookies then select the name of this site and click the 'Delete' button.
Your cookies should now be removed. You may want to restart the computer and revisit the forums to be sure.

Wow...Big Thanks for the assistance, Focus! (2thumbs)

On the other hand...Occasionally, when I send a post or pm, there is a noticeable delay that was not present with the old server...Seems like a small technical issue that may require some more tweaking on the server side or is it on my side?

Anyone else notice this?

When I go to user cp to look at my subscribed threads it show how but not the link.
