The MSP is magnificent

03.5 Silver MSP
I have had the car for just over 2 weeks now and I am more impressed with it each day. I'm so glad I traded in my '00 Celica GT-S for the MSP. This car is soooo fast in these low temperatures (tomorrow's high is 0 farehnheit).

I accidentally broke my VICS and VCST sensors (cold weather = very brittle plastic) the other day, so I temporarily removed them both, and now the car seems to drive smoother and accelerate even faster! My drive to work is 30-45 minutes of narrow twisties, and even with the snows on this thing can corner very well at relatively high speeds while still maintaining a good margin of safety. I think I may just end up liking this car more than my Miata....until top-down season comes round again, that is!

I have test driven a WRX, and I must say that I felt that it was big and clumsy compared to the MSP. I find the MSP to be a much more exhilirating car to drive; there is nothing clumsy about it.

I know this post is kind of random, but I am just so happy that I bought this car that I had to share. I hope others enjoy their MSPs as much as I enjoy mine. I plan on keeping it as long as I possibly can.

hmm i wonder if havin the sensors off opened somehting up lol

its good u like the car...i concur on its agile nature and handling

Every time i drive someone elses car it feels like a boat in the ocean, sooo much roll....

ok, I'll ask

how did you break them?

And welcome aboard btw. Make yourself at home, there's a fridge in the corner, grab a beer, a chair, kick your feet up and lets do some car talkin' :)

damn that made me feel all warm and mushy. sweet.

Wow, it's great to hear so many positive replies! Thanks everyone!

I broke the sensors while looking for a good place to t off a vacuum hose for my boost gauge. I was simply trying to remove the hoses from the sensors, and snap! I had even waited until the temperature was 20 degrees, which felt downright balmy to me!

Oh, and I got the signal for the boost gauge from another vacuum line, and I managed not to break anything else!

hey, I'm no Sir Nuke but...... gotta start somewhere

(unless you been here a while you won't have any idea what that's about so ignore it for now )

He's original, you gotta give him that. :D

Welcome aboard. ;)

Thanks! My name really is Paul, I just added the 'strovsky' part for fun, and to keep the username original ("Paul" is pretty lame by itself as a username).

I too am glad I got the MSP!! I drove the WRX 6 times I just did not find the balance that the lilttle protege has. 220 whp would make this car king.

I do not miss my 2003 v6 6sp Tiburon one bit.

I don't miss my '03 GTI VR6 6sp at all. Well maybe a little on the highway, it did pull a little better high end.

Still, I don't miss it. The MSP is a fun ride.

Hey Paul, good to see another MA rep here. I feel the same way. I went from a modded A4 1.8T to the MSP and also drove the WRX.

Power was nice but, as you said, handling felt clumsy compared to the MSP. I guess I just feel that power isn't everything.

I'm sure the handling can be cured with a suspension on the WRX, but I see those cars everywhere. Don't see to many MSP's.

If you're ever in Salem, keep your eyes peeled for an Orange MSP.
