yup, i'm totally hooked! it's ridiculously fun. headed down to laguna seca on the 27th.
i'm happy with the suspension setup, coilovers and 32mm rear sway. but still working with the wheel/tire setup. gonna run the halos with bridgestone potenza re-o1r in 225/45 this time. if sticky 225s seem like enough tire i might end up putting some on the old MX-5s since they only weigh 17lbs.
Try the Direzaa's as they have been a lot faster than the Bridgestones in the test we did with the RX-8 @ Mid-Ohio. They are cheaper and they were 1-1.5 seconds faster in our tests, with 3 different drivers.

damn. i would totally go but there's no way for me to get off from work. what time is the event running? maybe i can go before work.
interesting... yeah, I'm definitely open to different tire brands. I'm more concerned with settling on a tire size and wheel for the track right now. I have a line on some cheap FD wheels if I decide that I need more than 225s.
axis halo in 18x8.5 with 225/45s:

245/45s feel good on FDs, but may be a tad short for you, you could probably got with a 245/50, or a 255/45
it goes from about 8am-5pm. i'll have five 20-25 minute sessions on the track throughout the day. come by anytime if you can...!
