the ko4.....

see sig

yes i hit it, i have since updated my protune so I can hit higher targets safely. ive probably picked up another 15-20whp. I intend to put in a testpipe, which is good for another 5-10whp

fanboi much?

the man loves cpe. leave him alone lol.

Odd, because i dont see anything in your sig that would really stand out to me as reasons for you to be bumping the load cap...

im actually tuned for 18.5psi, but i cant hit that load on a DJ, on the street i can. 07-08.5 hits the cap at 2.0, 09 hits it at 2.5, ms6 at 2.25

the cap doesnt necessarily mean u cant make power, its just that the ecu literally gets to the last line on the tables and goes, welp i dunno whats going on beyond here, so im just gonna reuse the last line again and again and again.

if you look at your absolute load and it goes (in my case) 1.96 1.96 1.96 over and over then youve hit the load cap. the computer doesnt know what to do beyond that

this means the computer cant really keep itself safe. the new 1.07 maps allow you to bump this up to 3.0, and eventually 5.0 (BT guys)

so your telling me i can not take my car to a dyno tune they can flash my ecu and tune me for my turbo back and my intake. trust me man. access port is only good for good power. mbc isnt gonna do anything. if i get a custom open source tune by a perfessional. some calm down with all your ignorance. you think you know so much and swear by that acess port but its really not all that good in the long run depending on what you wanna do. i wanna go bigger turbo and ewg. i considered a access port but you can only tune for so much with that.

Yes that is what we are all telling you. In order to access the ecu you require either an AP or Standback. Open source does not exist for this car. Get that thru your thick skull

Trust you? you have no idea what you are talking about. only good for good power? isnt the whole idea of a MBC to increase power ouput? You make no sense. I do know quite a bit and i never swore by the AP. And explain to me how the ap is not good with a bt? wtf does ewg have to do with anything? i guess 400whp isnt enough. if thats the case then yea the ap isnt a good option, that leaves you with only one option, the SB

Im done entertaining this tard.

stock catback is good for around 300whp before it starts to become a restriction

i just couldnt take the drone anymore lol. car is actually quieter with the cbe.

rearry, my car has no drone that i can notice... but it does have a SICKLY MADE leak at the connection point to the stock catback. I filled her with some copper rtv gasket maker, good for like 700 some odd degrees F. Will see if that fixes the leak and thus causes some noticable drone.

there is an open source program developing called versatune.
Pretty sure its based on the same ideas as the cobb ap so dont hold out for big power just yet. mbc does do something, do you know how a waste gate works?

some calm down with all your ignorance? what the **** does that even mean?

Hope you also make 400whp at 2500 rpms and show us all up! i would love to see you do that without supporting mods.

hahaha I love reading complete douche tards like coty when they argue about something they dont know much about. :)

So, after reading all this, im thinking to myself. Do i need a tune? I got a cobb sr intake and a inlet pipe and am planning on getting a downpipe. After that, do i need a tune? could i be making more horses with a tune?

Sorry, im still trying to figure all this boost stuff out and tuning and all that.

Love this thread. Knowledge and tards combine.

First off, guys like Forzda and 8.5MS3 have been around and aren't blowing smoke up your ass. If you want to keep your head in the sand, go right ahead, but I'll be waiting for the post/thread where you mention blowing a hole in your block as well.

Axis, is your car running yet? If not, please refrain from swinging on CP-e's jock. I'll believe it when they actually release their products that they claim to have in the pipe. Cobb has committed to making parts for the MS3/MS6 again, in case you've also been like coty and had your head up your ass.

I know I don't post much on this thread much, but I just wanted to put it out there. I've heard many debacles about CPE vs. Cobb and I have to say I have to go with Cobb on this one. Forzda explained to me how both systems work with out cars. I don't like the fact that CPE takes the ECU flashes it and hands it back. Personally, I'd like to know what they've done to it. Cobb is like a learning community with enthusiasts' knowledge going around. I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to do my own tuning to get the fun and satisfaction out of it.

Coty man, if you don't know what's happening with these cars, you need to come in the forums with an open mind ready to learn something. If not, you're going to get put on blast.

From Versatune web site.../

"VersaTune is proud to announce the release of VersaTuner 1.5 with full support for Mazdaspeed3 (United States/Canada) and Mazda 3 MPS (Europe/Australia) vehicles. It has all the great features, including the online tune database, tune editor, virtual dashboard, graphical log viewer, launch control, no lift shifting, DTC management, etc. and is available for $399."

Now has anyone actually bought this? If so how about a review.
