Does the mazda 6 seat fit in the 3? If I drive more than an hour my back is killing me. I have tried the lumbar in all positions and I just can't seem to make it work for me. I knew the seats weren't GREAT when I bought the car. I would have put them with my SER in initial comfort. But now that I have the car a one hour trip is a pain in the back. Any suggestions? Any after market seats that don't look like they belong in a race car or cost half of what I paid for the car?

corbeau a4's don't look too racey but they are stylish imo. check out pd3audio, he just was sponsored by them so he has some great looking seats and i might be getting them soon or some sparco torinos. I have lower back problems already so 3 hour drives back and forth from school in these seats are pretty bad. but similar drives in my friends A4 helps my back a lot but other parts seam stiffer. (fight) . Basically it's a give or take, there are some recaros that look more like regular seats... dont know where i saw them though.

Moved to the Mazda3 section

Thanks, Jersey.

I haven't had any problems with the seats and I've driven non-stop from here to Toronto (about 250 miles).

What were you driving before?

Have you consulted a chiropractor?

What about one of those gel pads like the long haul truck drivers use?

i've done 3 big long distance trips in the car, from Toronto, Ontario to Winnipeg, Manitoba by myself, 8 to 9 hours of driving a day. Winnipeg back to Toronto with a friend, so half the day in the drivers seat, half in the passenger, and the really big one from Toronto to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. 4 days of driving, 2400km, 8 hours a day driving it the whole way myself. I'm 6'6" and 225lbs, and I never got a sore butt or anything after all that driving. I guess I'm lucky that it just fits me better! It sucks that you find the seats uncomfortable... I hope ya find something that works for you!

yeah i would have to say the few long trips i have been on...6-8 hours and then back a few days later haven't been to bad at all.... now if i could have just gotton my ex so stfu then it would have been a great trip... guess thats why she is my ex....

i think the seats don't have any side support. i feel like i am about to fall out of the seat when i take hard turns.

I did Montreal to New-York and back 3 times when I had the Mazda 3 and always stopped every 2 hours, it's not the best car for road trips but it does the job. Sometimes driving around town for just an hour would kill my back.

to some this might come as a shocking thing: for 1 year and 3 months i have around 27,500 miles on my car ALREADY!

the seats are ok with me. i must admit, there are the times when they dont feel luxuriess, but its not a luxury vehicle by any means. hehehe.

upgrading to better seats would be a smart move, if that will help.

i was thinking of upgrading my seats to heated seats with speakers on the seats, like the Infiniti M cars. hott stuff. eh, gl with u seat disicion ;)

(shrug) 1 year and 2 months and I'm at 22K.
