The Everying DSM BOV Thread...

Anyone try this with a 2007 speed6? Just prepped my modded 1g dsm bov (thanks Rev!)...guess what? The flange is not the same, the 1g dsm bov's flange is a lot smaller all the way around and the mounting holes are not even close to being the same (stock bov mounts centers are 9.2cm apart, while the 1g bov centers 8.6mm apart). In fact I would have to cut the sides of the 1g's flange (next to the holes) in order to mount it. Has anyone else had to do this or have a better method?

you could possibly use a drill bit to extend the holes on the end, or my favorite. i used heavy dute bolt/lock cutters and cut out the ends so it would fit on the stock flange lol.

well i checked out your car domain and u have a downpipe and exhaust so ur gonna get backfire no matter what.. i get it sometimes and i have the HKS SSQV, front mount, and 3 inch custom exhaust... so until ur properly tuned id just not worry about it.

OK, to resurrect this thread a bit...it DOES say "EVERYTHING DSM BOV" after all....

I put one of these on a while back and like it. But I've noticed there's a little nozzle-looking thing on mine. Does this need to be attached to something? Hoses run, etc? Or is it fine just pointing towards the corner of my hood?

And by the way, RevLimitLaunch, where do you work? Are you the Speed6 that I used to see on Route 111 between Kingston and Exeter around quarter to 9 each morning? Kinda far from Candia, but i was just wondering....

Maybe there was a 2nd nozzle facing rearward, too. In any case, any hose that was attached to the OEM was reattached to the DSM. But there was this nozzle left over....

Here it is, looking from the driver's side into the engine bay. There's one nozzle that's connected to the existing hosing (canadian word? :D) pointed towards the rear, but as you can see, there's one other that's left uncovered, like it's venting or something...
