What are the weak links that will or can cause problem when boosting an n/a 2.3, I ask because I hear and have read that quite a few people who have boosted stock non speed 2.3 n/a have had reliabilty issues .i.e. thrown rod etc............what is essential, what needs attention to make it close to bullet proof in terms of reliabilty and still be able to run say 15-18lbs on it....I ask because I recently bought a short block that I want to do a build on and eventualy put it into my 2008 m3s touring 5spd....budget is about $3000-4000 for the engine build plus another $4000 for the boost system and tune...doable? parts list?
