THE MILES ALONE ARENT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME TO CHANGE JOBS. You should keep the current job, but knowing you, you will go where you think the money is and get those two extra days. But if it WERE ME, I'd want to keep something steady and reliable. But no one listens to me anyways.... meh.

Well, during the week I drive 30 miles a day, five days a week - so that's 150 miles. (main job moved a little further away)

On the weekends, I drive 50 miles a day.

So that's 250 miles a week

New Schedule - 5 days of the 50 mile trip - same mileage.

show me the money Micah... that's all you have to consider? more $$ WITH days off? done deal. insurance can be provided privately and you will make more than enough to cover it. yes, you will be at the mercy of only one company, but so are 124,543,342,343 other people just working a 9-5...

and vacations are just a company's ploy to pay you less up front. OOoooOOohh, benefits package. pshh, if you save well and they will allow you to take maybe 1-2 weeks/year unpaid, then it is well worth it.

lol - yep, you and I talked about the exact situation this brought about on the thread. Pretty funny stuff. I know you mentioned on the phone that it would incite Ghost - and hell, that was part of the reason I left it. Knew he would be checking all your posts. Hell, I even had a feeling he would accuse other members of searching for his posts to **** with him. If this is what it takes to get him to pay proper attention, and who knows - maybe even go back and be faithful, then I guess it's kewl. On the other hand it's fun just to play evil armchair psychiatrist(sp?).

Ghost called me a Fat Ass, oh boo hoo - yeah, I've got a little gut on me, fortunately I'm able to diet and work out to handle it. I can assure you it doesn't hold me back too much. I've got quite the handful of beautiful friends.

I'm pretty happy - making good money - enjoying what I do for a living. I've got a shitload of great friends and the sweetest FB a guy could ever wish for. My credit is building like crazy, no drama - just a lot of things that keep me smiling.

You gotta read this book: "Games People Play - The Basic Handbook to Transactional Analysis" It's amazing how simple it is to figure some people out once you understand the forms of social exercises.

Yeah, I made a phone call to my jobs HR dept, and found out that I can extend my present medical coverage for up to 18 months for about 350/month or so. I'll likely do that.

You are right about the bank accounts though - I never have more than 4k in the bank. Once I build up above 3k, I tend to start looking for large purchases. I have 12k in my 401k though, so it's not like I'm totally un-prepared. I'll be moving it to a Roth IRA, and I was thinking of increasing the amount of money I put in there (roughly 4k/annually), but instead I think I'm just going to focus on making extra payments on the Z and the Protege.
