The $1,200 Challenge!!

Since he lives in Arizona and I assume that is a high temperature state, I don't think he will be having fueling issues... (correct me if I'm wrong)

Most people with fueling issues have experienced sub 30* weather... Does it ever get that cold in Arizona...?

I'd stick with bolt-ons and not mess with ECU stuff right now...ATP boost cut, fuel cut, etc... Just basic breather mods; intake, exhaust, motor mount, etc...suspension stuff if you like, etc...

I's leave the ECU stuff for later down the road...

Whats wrong with the 18X7 wheels we have? Anything smaller would make the wheel spin issue worse!!!! I mean other than how heavy they are...lighter wheels would be a PLUS!! But I wouldn't suggest smaller diameter...you'd make it look like a regular 3... (ewww)

Check out PT-Performance. They have just designed a few new products at commpetative pricing. Their latest offer is $599 for a 3.5inch top mount intercooler, solid motor mount and colder spark plugs.

They also sell an intake that is a full three inch all the way to the turbo.

Get a DP and test pipe too.

Dont foget a CDFP and map clamp / mbc. Just my $.02.

cutouts on this car without a tune is a very very bad idea.

y are cutouts a bad idea? boost spiking? people get upgraded downpipes without tune, i dont see y a cutout with a pipe leading it to the side in front of my left rear wheel would be a problem? the car will spike but the wastegate relieves any excess pressure, unless i turn up boost or use a boost cut killer i dont think id blow my motor up

The 18" part is fine if you can get a lighter wheel. 7" is just s***. 7.5 or 8 would be great.

You can also try to jump on the exhaust manifold group buy here http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123688802

Dyno comparison looks great for low end power.
