Thanks to mazda for seat belts and airbags!!!!!

Wow glad you are ok. Notice how the car crumpled to absorb energy but the passenger compartment remained intact.

Here are the pics from the body shop

Yeh on long island, nassau county.

I just got back from the auto body. I got more pics of the car. Im just gonnna have them keep it there until the insurance is done with it so then they can just dispose of it.

Lots of idiots driving around Long Island.

I know it happens in an instant but did you notice the seatbelt tensoners? I hear they are just as "explosive" as the airbags.

I wasn't able to view the pics at work and just scrolled through them.

Thank heavens you are okay and that your car took the brunt of the accident...those are some frightening pics.

Beleive it or not, the seal belt didnt even leave any mark on my chest. Is it possible for the air bag to make that big of a hit on the windshield. What I was thinking hit the windshiled was my 20 pound backpack that could of gotten thrown from the back seat and into the windshield.

Possibly, it's pretty much a bomb in a bag.

I recall hearing about some cars where the flap over the passenger side airbag was ejected into the window with enough force to break it, but I had thought that sort of nonsense had been eliminated in more recent cars.

Wow, glad you're ok man!! Very comforting to see how well the car crashed as well, it crumpled very well without any intrusion into the passenger compartment.

Glad you're ok and wise move on wearing the belt. Is it just me or does that not look like a road you should be doing 60/70MPH? Did you tell the cops that one?

Glad you ok. Be very careful what you tell the cops and insurance company, they will try to use evey llittle thing to try and show fault to you or get out of paying for your damages.

Whats next? Another P5?

My father owns a body shop and I can assure you I have seen this. The worst one I saw was a volvo where there is no way in hell the flap could have opened without hitting the windshield.

wow...glad to hear you're ok! poor p5... :( seems to be the season for people getting hit or hitting things in their p5.

glad to know your ok, he come the hard part. i could use ur interior plastic parts. (6 parts in total all the pillars that touch the headliner)

that really sucks about your p5, but at least you walked away from that.
hope everything works out good for you

Im pretty sure I can do that. I just gotta find a way to take them out. Im gonna go look at the car later and get some stuff out that other members also wanted.

Does anybody need that trunk cover?
