Thanks Button?

I was looking on an isuzu forum with my friend and there was a "Thanks" Button on the bottom right of the posts. It was there to thank someone for giving a good response to a question or problem you have/had. I thought it would be a good idea, maybe get some more involvement in the community when people have problems if the people asking the questions have a way to thank them. (in a sense) Not that we don't have awesome members that already give good replies.

Just an idea for you to think about and/or look into.

Ya, it is pretty awesome. It's just a button that is next to the "Quote" button on a post. If you choice to click on it it will raise that persons "thanks rating" i guess you could call it. It keeps track of it in your User CP as well as under your avatar.

You should be able to go to the administrative control panel for the bulletin software you are running on your server and find it as an option.

My buddy who is a member said you will have to create an account to be able to see the Thanks button and how it functions.

Once again I think this would be awesome to be able to thank other members for their input. I'm quite excited that your looking into it.

We used to have a "Reputation Points" system. To some extent it was used legimately, but ultimately people just ended up sharing points with each other to boost their Reputation. Others thought it would be funny to see how low they could make their reputation.

Ya, I'm sure there will be people that will have friends click it just to see how high they can get it, but I think this is something that most of the users will use correctly.
