In my woes for a new car, I decided to test drive the SRT-4, or at least take a look at it. My dealer has an electric blue with sunroof, that looked nice. I do love the exterior of the car, and its performance is top notch, or so I thought.
The car drives like crap, compared to our Proteges, the shifter feels like its connected by 10ft wires, read, very lose. The feel of those big A pillar in front hamper all kind of vision, and the feel of the interior was horrible. Felt like in a rent-a-car. Its power was pretty good, but not to par with my HiBoost P5. It didnt put me to the back of the seat like mine did. Oviously my P5 didnt do 14sec 1/4 miles but I must have more torque than this SRT did. A 85 mph run fast pretty fast, but overall very disatisfied, and now still looking for a new car.
Just wanted to share my experience. You Speed owners got nothing to be ashame. Yeah the SRT is faster, but only if you are still running 6psi.
