Test Drive & Purchases...

so today i did some more shopping around talking to different dealerships on the phone. one salesperson i spoke to was super nice and tried getting me the price i wanted, but unfortunately couldnt get it b/c they didnt have the car in stock. what really surprised me was that the salesperson gave me the list of all the dealerships in the tristate area that have the car im lookin for and the invoice price of each car, along with some tips on where 2 buy and how to get the price i want -- i was super surprised...

I just had a deal in temecula yesterday. I got $24,360 OTD (with floor mats, wheel locks and cargo net) and also they deliver it to my place in san diego. I hope this is a good deal

gr8 news. i finally put a deposit on a car -- i shud have my black GT on friday, I think i might have been able to get slightly cheaper but for the NY region I think I did pretty solid -- payin $22,875 (b4 DMV & taxes.... 8.625% sales tax is killin me (notcool))for a black GT w/ auto dimming compass mirror.

BTW, if anyone is in the MD, DC, VA area and willing to drive to Vienna VA, Mohamed Wadood is THE MAN. Rosenthal Nissan Mazda. Dude seriously has employee of the year every month for YEARS running. Also for financing worked to what I needed. PM me if anyone is gonna see him. I'll tell him you're coming ;)

Wow, that guy MUST be the man if he's able to get employee of the year every single month....j/p

picked up my car 2day, and all that i have to say is that this break in period is gonna b a true test of my self control....the car is AMAZING. Especially considering that my last car was a 10 yr old 626.

I'm from the Bay Area and requested quotes from dealers and the lowest offer I got was $21,006 with $21,992 after and the highest was $22,998 all three not including taxes and license. Hopefully I'll be able to get myself in one of these for ~$22.2k OTD

Before this, every car I bought was over 10 years old and under $1,000 except for my Integra (1996 in 2005) which I paid $3,500 for (80k on the odo with one owner, shweet). My dealer told me to just keep the rpms under 4k for the first thousand miles. At 1,001 I brought her up to 5,500 and then 6,000 but never taken past 6, hear that its unnecessary to beat on our cars after that.

I will say enjoy the first week or two, after that you get used to the power and it feels like whatever 80 horsepower beater you used to drive. But yeah man, that first week was the BEST!!!
