Why would Tein, a Japanese based company (please correct me if I'm wrong) use a US third party private owner to test their new coilover kit prototype? Are you testing for a vendor out there in So Cal? Just figured like COBB who is US local would have testing done locally at their facility. Please shed some light
well think about this, TEIN USA also sells Fujitsubo exhausts, DEFI gauges, etc. look on their website. when i went in to pick up my car, they had a 07+ 350z there that they just fitted a Legalis system to. now why would they do that when they have Zs in japan? well maybe they wanted to get right down to the cars that their products are gonna be put on.
as for a "new" coilover kit prototype, these coilovers are already available for the 04+ mazda3 hatch, which uses practically the same suspension, save for different springs, sways, etc. so there's no reason to develop a completely new kit because they're almost identical except for the spring rates.
i'm not the one carrying out the "testing" on the coilovers...TEIN does this inhouse, with their own driver. what they did pretty much was fit new spring rates on, test to see if vehicle dynamics are improved or not.
i don't have rear camber links on, so my tires will probably get worn down.
spring rates...i have no idea what they are. they didn't really tell me.
Super Street coilovers are rebound and compression adjusted equally at the same time (16-way)
