I'm going to have to agree with Brian, when i first rocked the "Team Pro5" it was more of an "elite" kind of feel where the cars that were involved were top of their game. Now i can see where Evade is coming from wanting lots of members and more people seeing the Team name and be part of it.

But i think there needs to be a set of standards or different levels within the "Team Pro5" so that cars that are highly modified and cars that are OEM plus can both be recognized within the "club" or more then a few of us might be following Brians lead.

I agree also. I don't want to look pretentious, but TeamPro5 isn't TeamSpeed3 for a reason. I felt great knowing I belonged to a group of ONLY Pro5's. Yeah I can go join my local car club and be a part of 336Motorsports like everyone else in the 336 area code. However, I'm one of the few, maybe 10 at the most in my State, that is a member of TeamPro5.

I feel I should be able to come here and ask members like Brian, Evade, and Bikingpro5 questions since I KNOW they have touch literally every, if not, the majority of parts on this Car. I can get advice and tips on building my Pro5 into another piece of art, and not just another highway commuter.

I too believe we need to set some standards. Maybe a poll or referral system.
We could also probably do some kind of sub groups from stock, lightly modified, to absolutely insane(elite).
Some type of moderation needs to be implemented.

I think we can let stock/semi-stock cars in, as long as people have good plans for their cars and act on them in a timely manner.

i know im new and idk how much my imput matters but when i was looking at team pro5 before i pm'd EVADE to try to join all of the cars deifinetly wernt stock and had at least some mods to them done and a good wishlist. i think circuit is right in the sense that if they are planning on modding in the near future thats fine but if they leave it stock forever its not the best. there are way to many sexy protege5's to have people with stock protege5's join who have no plans of modding. but hey what do i know just a newbie to the group lol

I thought back when I joined my car wasnt badass like the other members cars but it gave me drive to get my car up to par.
I remeber Tom and Cres started with slight mods and then worked it up and had some others that kept it simple. I did stop recruiting awhile and I've just been getting people who are interested in joining.
I like the fact that I had to seek out membership. I had to send pictures and a list of mods including plans for future mods

Agreed. Personally, I would never join a car-specific club with no intentions to touch my car, yet that doesn't stop others. I feel the Owner should show a commitment to the car. If you look at lilprotege5's specific list of planned mods versus someone who only has a ebay intake and plans to "drop it" or " buy some wheels I guess" you can gauge who is active in interests.

We could set up reps like evade/brian/circuit/bikingpro5 (if they were willing to lend their time) to scan applicants' build page/welcome page and vote whether they think they are "worthy"

I don't think a minimum amount of posts would be a good requirement however considering many people put lot's of work into their car's before joining the community. Lilprotege5 just joined and I think he is a great candidate

thanks dude! i like the grill set up! hella horns with a aftermarket debadged front grill? looks sweet

sickspeed horns and OEM grill on JDMs car.

Efran I think that as long as the people in Team Pro5 have have the intentions to mod their cars eventually then they can join but newer members should be under a probationary membership until they are either around long enough or have modified their car a bit to what they have told posted. Also think that members of Team Pro5 should be examples in this forum to what a clean Pro5 either heavily modified or not should look like, not just anyone who drives a Protege5

I like the idea of tiers in the team. When I first joined I too was a bit of a noob. My car was stock but little by little snagging pieces here and there...I'm getting there and I can say too that I did and still do look up to you guys (circuit, effren, Brian and biking) without your example I wouldn't be able to set one of my own. And now I feel proud to be able to help others out. I do feel like it's a privilege to be a part of the team and rock the sticker. And if I had to do it over again I'd have no problem having to qualify. It's more than a zoom-zoom sticker on your car.

And that ladies (if there's more than myself) and gents is my two cents! :D

I would like to say, that when I joined the team, I only had coilovers and some junk 18" wheels. Since then, I have had the supercharger (only one of its kind on a Protege) and now I'm halfway into a big turbo build.

I also believe that everyone deserves a chance, but make sure you maintain your car and run that Team Pro5 sticker with pride.

The future is actually up to all its members and others wanting to join because it was at a point when it almost had less then 10 active members here in Hawaii and it almost made me drop it when one by one started to go for each personal reason but none for against the Team. But now that it became WorldWide Team with either me asking others or vice versa made it to what it is. This is club still open to all Protege5's and BJ2 plat forms from stock to fully modified, but now with things that made us move forward to have group of "ELITE" and to be an example to new members and all Protege5 owners.

With the team now going worldwide i will try to hunt down as many scandinavian/european p5 owners as possible and ask them to pm Efren to join the team!

Alright guys got my skunk2 mega power cat back exhaust on! sounds very good and deep. I want it louder tho so I am either gonna do headers or cat delete

Might be too much trouble to create and dish out new stickers. We should create a rank in the forum, such as the slammed thread has, without the numbers obviously. We can have the top end (elites) the middle modded cars, and then the newbies. The newbies can sit in our forums but there will be a probation, or some sort of requirement before they move up a class and get their sticker. I feel all rank ups in class should be voted on by the elites. I feel the elites should include Efren, Jt(bikingpro5), Brian, Circuit(forgot your name bud :( )
These "elites" will vote on team rank placement and promotions.
