Tailpipe Soot?

I have noticed that there appears to be some carbon build-up on the nice, chrome, RacingBeat exhaust tip. Does anyone know if part of the MP3's 10 extra HP involves having the engine running a bit rich?

just normal,look at the tops of your pistons, it is called carbon

its just like a rifle you will get carbon build up all the time just clean it every weekend...

yep. definitely clean every weekend. i once forgot and let it go 3 weeks. when i finally did wash it, some didnt want to come off. i didnt know what to use to try and grt it off so i decided to experiment. I got some Tide laundry detergent (YES LAUNDRY DETERGENT, THE POWDER KIND) and poured some into a wet towel, then scrubbed it. Just a little bit of elbow grease and it was gone!!!! nice shine and NO scratches. If you have buildup try it!!!

Go to any auto parts store and look for this stuff called Never Bull. Stuff works wonders. I think they have it at Sears too in the tire section somewhere.
