T3 / T4 Roll Call Post Comp and Turbine AR's

Well, I'm having a helluva time selling my car, so it leaves me wanting to beef things up, seeing as though I'm stuck with it....

The stock turbo is great for around town, but as we all know, it sucks for higher RPM and speeds.

Those of you running t3/t4 set-ups, please post your set-up, and include the Turbo Manufacturer, the model, and the Compressor and Turbine AR #'s. PSi wouldn't hurt either.

I'm having trouble deciding what I want to use, and could really use the advice of those that have already upgraded. I was avoiding T3 flanges, because I didn't want to change my lines, IC pipes, and downpipe, but the t3/t4 turbos are cheap...

ebay t3/t4 50trim turbine .63 AR from cxracing, pools like a mofo after 4000 till redline, i have 2 different turbo setup they are all ebay turbo and ive been runnign them a while.

Garrett 60 trim T3. .48 ar exhaust housing and 60 intake. 14psi.

masterpower t3t04e turbo, hi boost mani,fmic,thermal r&d exhaust,440ccs +walbro,
ran 11psi till i got rid of my microtech now driven at 6 psi til i get a split second:D

I rather not spend that kind of $$ on just the snail. With proper oil pressure, journal bearings last plenty long, and in the case they do go bad, they can be fixed by a professional for ~$250 or by me for $100.

Can we use the stock oil and coolant lines with a GT3071r ?

It really comes down to the fact that a new Garrett hybrid can be had all day for like $500-600

how long you been running that? was it from CXR, JDMSport or any of the ebay companies with names?

JDM Sam is running it on his Orange MSP i think (hes running it) and it all fits, just need slimfans. I asked him to measure the distance between the turbo and fans but he keeps forgetting. haha But you would just need new couplers as far as I know of. Everything else should be bolt on and mod'd (aka the wastegate, anything other then stock you gotta' mod)

3 years on the t3t4 and one year on the t3. still going strong, the secret behind the seal is to put a stagger gap exhaust seal!

no thats not too big, A/R 48 turbine housing is perfect for our motor. I have a .63 and I found the boost threashold is a bit late... so .48 stage 3 is perfect!

You are good for 400ish whp wit that turbo

despite my extremely limited knowledge about turbo tech, when i was looking at T3/T4 setups for kicks, i was looking at the 50 trim stage 3 .48A/R. when i finally buy maximum boost (corky bell) ill know if i was right, supposedly theres great instructions for sizing turbos in there

ya when ever I look at different car tech things I always see the stage # and when I actually starting seeing what was in those "stages" some of them for cars at least don't have much in them, I just think it's funny for some car to have "stage 3-4" or whatever and just have some general power increasing mods.. maybes that just me, but I dono

also Yudkib, could you get back to me about the pm, just let me know what your think as far as the dash, I don't mind waiting I just want to know what's up, thanks

ya that's no problem, I know what you mean, I finally finished my 3rd long ass essay in the last 2 weeks and with presentations and all that junk, and everything else I have to do before school ends.. but I just wanted to touch base and stuff, I don't mind waiting but I just don't want to forget and later I'm not sure who is wanting what after a while lol but np

my small t3 turbine wheel is a stage 1 .48 AR, that wheel is much smaller than a .48 Stage 3. The stage 1 t3 .48 A/R is comparable to the stock GT2554. Stage 3 IS the one you need period.

subbin'...

I have a ceramic coated hiboost cast mani waiting for a Precision Turbo SC5027E
