Pic 1... that goes to the waste gate so that the gate can open when it reaches proper level of boost... (look at the pics on the instructions.).....

pic 2. is a coolant line in/out... it depends on the install... the instructions will read that the second picture will bet eh coolant out line.

pic 3... coolant in

Yup. You have a water cooled center cartridge. If I were you, I'd opt for an external gate, but other than that, nice!

How would I go about changing it to an external waste gate?

also, can anyone verify the oil supply and return line lengths? I didnt like the way the previous setup was, so I replaced the oil supply/return adapters with billet aluminum flanges with -4MJIC machined in for the supply, and the same in a -10 for the return. My supply line I had made is 4.5'and the return is 18". To me it looks like the 18" return line is WAY short?????

i don't know what mani you have or or how your turbo is situated but 18" should be more than enough. i'm now worried that mine is gonna be to short at only 10". it's also best to tap into the crank support plate, inbetween the block and the pan. that would save a couple inches anyways.

Found out the hard way that my oil return line was too short! If anyone needs a -10 X 18" SS hose for $20 let me know...

Youy can buy a block off plate for just such an occasion. Then just pick up a TiAL 38mm and you've got the best wastegate you can buy! :D
