System Final Suggestions?

So I am about to have the Bose Head unit in my 2008.5 speed3 replaced and i can finally put my 2 12" Kicker comps from my old 4runner into my speed3.

I was going to get the same cheap wire kit from walmart, run the power from the battery and down the passanger side

then tap the preamp wires for bose subwoofer on the amp under the drivers seat and run the signal and remote lines back on the drivers side of the car

My only questions are is tapping the preamp wires for the bose amp the best way to approach subs for the speed3? What are some of ya'lls time tested methods tapping the wires most efficently?

And has anyone left the stock mini bose sub connected while having aftermarket subs? It hits alot of the quieter and higher pitched bass notes i know my subs can't hit and i figured it'd add a little more overall sound to the car, and vibrate my passengers ass slightly...(poke)
If i'm wrong w/ my prediction, please let me know

Never run different sized subs with out a narrowband crossover network. Even then it can be much more trouble than its worth. You dont want subs of different sizes taking on the same responsibilities. For instance your two twelves handling 25hz-90ish hz, and your ten doing the same. If you really really dont want to remove it, which is what i would do, you need to play to the smaller cones ability to handle higher pitches, have your ten pick up 90-140hz or something similar. It can bring more impact to your low end mids, but i have never attempted this myself. www.caraudio.com/forums is where i would hang this question. While you are there look into the big3. Its under wiring, also, dont skimp on power wire. Its the life blood of your setup, a little more spent here is worth its weight in gold.

be careful of the length of power wire that comes with a pre made kit. I placed my amp under the trunk floor, routing the wire across the firewall under the windshield trim, through the grommet most are using, down the passenger side to the rear seat, across to the drivers side and back to the amp. This required easily 19 feet of wire, most kits come with 17. do the math :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I think i'll just disconect the bose sub.

As for wire I think i'll end up getting some good quality wires this time around. 6guage should be sufficent for a 500 watt amp.

But i still would like to know if anyone has suggestions on the best way to splice the pre amp wires from the bose sub.

I would run 4. There is a chart somewhere i will have to find it, but if its a true 500w amp, you will want 4. Not to mention i dont think ive even seen 6. But 8 is way too small.
