IMO, a 16year old with an STi isn't lucky, he's spoiled. My first car (when I was 18) cost 1800 bucks. It took me a long time to save that much money up...but I sure appreciated the car![/end threadjack]

its a good first car, my dad wanted to buy it for me as early graduation present, im not spoiled at all tho, except for a place to live and food to eat, thats all my parents have given me since i got a job.

Having an STi at 16 seems to me to be a bad idea if (s)he wasn't responsible, I wouldn't care much if (s)he was though. There's two people at my school with STi's and they street race/destroy the hell outta them. I'd gladly take the keys away from them if I could. ...poor cars.

Im 17 joined when i was 16 first car 2002 P5 i love the car no modifcations to the engine yet im wanting to start though, just put in door speakers two days ago have had subs and xm radio for a while and i LOOOVE it all and i never knew there was so many "kids" on this site and yes if your under 18 your still a kid dont take offence to it but hey if yall got any suggestions on what i should probally do first for mods id love to get some suggestions oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY man good luck witht he mods on your car

so far, I've gotten $250 which has already been spent on my clutch project.

things purchased in the last week:
-AWR front + rear motor mounts
-Exedy Stage-1 racing clutch

-2-ton engine hoist (and a new 8 ton piston for it)
-8 gallon air compressor to replace my old one
-oil/water seperator
-30' of air hose + reel
-1/2" impact wrench (650 ft. lbs. of torque)
-1/2" socket set
-torque wrench
-a ton of small misc. couplers, oils, seals, etc.

I scored ALL of the tools for $180.
You can't beat working at Harbor Freight! (first)

Now I just need to find a place that sells RedLine MT90 locally and I'll be set.
