Swapping Type A radio for Type B?

Perhaps this has been covered before, so in advance, my apologies...

We have a 2012 CX-9 Touring (not Sport; not Grand Touring), and it comes with the basic, no NAV, no BT, single disc radio (Type A). Is it possible to swap out this radio for Type B, even if I don't have the Bose system? I can find Type B OEM Mazda radio's on the internet, but no one can confirm if it's compatible with my CX-9 version. I don't care much for Bose speakers, but I would like a better OEM radio (NAV doesn''t concern me either - I always rely on my cell phone's GPS apps).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

it most likely wont work. bose is a 2ohm amplified system. the non bose system is not amplified, and 4ohm. i wouldnt try it
