Swapping LSD.. Help !

I blew my LSD and was wondering the cost of swapping it for an mfactory LSD. Or I was wondering if I can do the job myself... I have the tranny out I just need some pointers...

Your gonna need a bearing puller, an air chisel, a press, and some hand tools. There's somewhat a a how to here on the forum. I wouldn't know how much a shop would charge but guessing I would say around the 1k region. If u do decide to do it I have a spare set of new LSD bearings I could sell u for half price.

you have to disassemble the entire tranny to get the lsd out. If that's something you are comfortable with then go for it.

Yes disassembling it shouldn't prove to be to difficult. Just put everything down in order. Don't do as I did and just dumped everything in a box. And you won't need a bearing puller. The only reason I needed one is because I swapped out my 3rd and 5th gears while I was in there.

Your also probably gonna want to pick up new axle seals too.

There is, in fact, I used it as a reference when disassembling mine. Unfortunately, two of my employees felt like taking s*** apart that didn't need to be disassembled and mixed up everything I had in a specific place to help me remember the order it was disassembled and location. At that point, I said "**** it", threw that s*** in a box, and bought another transmission. lol

Lol. I did the same thing but didn't disassemble anything that didn't need to be. But it still wasn't that hard puzzling it back together. Couldn't quite finish it in one sitting due to lack of tools(bearing puller) so had to clear garage space.

So I started my car today to warm it up and turned it off and saw that I had transmission oil leaked out all over under my car... Anyone know what that could be ? I haven't swapped LSDs yet.
