You've got that a bit backwards. All the Geos were made by someone other than GM. The Metro was a Suzuki, made by Suzuki. The Prism was a Toyota Corolla, made by Toyota, the storm was an Isuzu, the Tracker was a Suzuki sidekick, etc.

The current 1.6L engine (which looks like it's the only engine coming here) found in the Swift Sport makes 123 hp and 109 lb-ft. Should be pretty comparable to a Fit in power:weight.

thats hysterical!! the manual eats the automatic for lunch in mileage then again, it's a 20 year old 4speed autotragic in that thing...wouldnt it be more cost effective to use a more mainstream bulk built tranny like the GM 5 speed to increase fueliness?

that being said, if they make a sport model with like 175hp in something that light, i'd be all over that in a heartbeat, i actually like it

btw, who's motor is powering it?

Well if they are anything like the first generation...It will be a great little car. I had two of the 1989 Swift GTi's. No trouble or problems, great gas mileage and very quick. I kept both of them past 70,000 miles then traded in one for a MX-3 and the other for something bigger.

If this actaully happens I would get one in a heart beat as long as there is a GTi option. I'm running a Swift GT motor in my suzuki samurai. Suzuki FTMFW!!!
Now if they toss on the Sx4 AWD all the better!!! The original Gti's/Cultus came AWD overseas
