I've had my 3 for three years now and iv'e recently noticed a sharp
kick to the left when i brake over stutter bump's. i wont do it on smooth
surface. i also noticed moderate vibration when on the brake at a stop light.
Could my motor mount have failed. My car is equiped with the an ATX so
abuse is not a factor. I've read the motor mounts on thses cars are'nt
very reliable.

sounds like you may have a braking issue 3 years is about time to look at and make sure your rotors and pads are good... could also be the abs if you have that option?? doesn't sound like a motor mount but if you are still under warranty i would bring it in cause its a quick check.

Belive it or not, I've only put 15k miles on it. I'll take it in. If it's something
you all need to know, i'll post it. don't think it's the brakes. she stops fine on smoth surface and when it pulls to the left, it more like a jerk than a drift.

I don't drive a 3 YET, but I was having the same problem on my Focus (yes, I'm ashamed ) and it was the motor mount. It cost me about $200 to get it fixed.
