Ok.. After running number5 (I think I'm gonna name it that, number 5 & number 7:) ) thru my usually little test course I've figured out that while it does handle pretty well, it needs a few upgrades..

A) dear gawd... The brakes are a disappointment. Any halfway reasonable cost upgrades? Does Hawk make pads for this thing yet?

B) how about Bars? Who makes a nice thick sway bar package?

It's already got H&R springs, they're alright... probably shoudl upgrade the shocks too, but I dunno how much I want to spend right now....

Anyting more heavy duty than Street Prepared AutoX rules is out...

a) brake pad/rotor upgrades are freely available for the Proteges, check this site out:

http://www.precisionbrakescompany.com/

b) AWR racing makes rear sway bar kits for the Proteges

www.awrracing.com

also check mazda motorsports, as they sell competition parts for the Proteges.

and lastly, do a search on these things :D :D :D :D

preferably on the 'other' protege forum ;)
