Superchip

i would sign up... but my baby only has 400 miles on it. lol
it would be nice to have a few different tune modules on the market.
competition works.

I called and left a message for the guy in charge of product developement Superchips. I told him that I would like to help since I'm local with the developement of a product for our MS3s...

Still no email...no phone call... (sad2)

I just got email back from them showing interest. They were keen on the fact that mine is a 2008.5 brand new and still completely stock. He said they would be in touch once they get around to the mazdaspeed 3 project. Right now they are working on the cx-7 stuff.

(ghey) Who the hell cares about the CX-7...? Its not even a performance oriented vehicle...yes it share our engine...but thats about it.

cx-7 why? they should fast track the ms3 project because of the limited production run, the cx-7 will be around later for them to work on.

Superchips will lose the market...the peak interest for tuning in NOW!!!!
Wait longer and someone else will come along with something and grab the market away...

Just posting what I was told, they do have interest in the ms3, just they got a cx-7 in their pipeline right now. The good news for us should be that the cx-7 engine is the same family as ours, so tweaking a chip up for it will be old hat for them when it's time.

One more thing, i certainly hope they have a way to make the superchip completely and quickly reversible, without the dealer service dept being able to detect it was ever installed. If not, I won't be getting one.

from when it talked to him, the cx7 was easier to get than a ms3 to test on. , the got a rental one now that they are testing on.. once they tune that one, the ms3 and ms6 will not have a problem bieng tuned ..

Who cares about the dealer...they already banned me for my mods...they are useless.

The CX-7 might give them insight in the Mazda ECU ways, but our tuning is waaaaaaay different. Same thing has happened with MS6 tuning and trying to adapt it to the MS3...totally different.

Well thats your situation, we are not all in that same boat. I spent the $ to extend my bumper to bumper out to 6 years/100,000 miles to be sure I am covered no matter what. A chip interests me, but modding beyond that does not. I need this car to last.

Listen guys write an email to comforti the guys who do the Shark injector for the BMW`s they might have experience and they use an OBD2 interface i believe.I suggested that because the BMW 335i also uses a direct injection system with i presume similar ECU characteristics. Also try those tuning the Saturn Sky Red Line and Pontiac soltice Turbo that have direct fuel injection turbo
