I just want to make mine as loud as possible. Anyone know how????
Goto the woods, find a turkey, and record the call, then record it to a cd and play it on your cars stereo system.

Oh and can someone tell me how the wastegate, which is on the exhaust side of the turbo and controls how much boost is made, can cause a fluttering sound on the pressure side of the turbo.

I have an HKS BOV on my car, and it flutters for a very short second as its trying to open the BOV, then it chirps as it opens and whooshes.

It might be a little compressor surge, but its definately the action of the BPV opening and closing.

Kthx.

does the turkey sounds nice with the aem cai or sounds better with the injen??

Take off the vacuum line for your bov, hit some boost and then clutch. You'll hear the surge like crazy, I accidently did this when I spliced in my boost controller once. It's a chuff chuff chuff sound. While I agree the bpv does flutter, it couldn't be all the bpv because it wasn't doing anything.

my friend just installed a greddy type S on his 95 Eclipse GST, and it was set too tight, so he got a turkey before the bov sound.

I just noticed today that when shifting at a higher RPM the turkey is not noticable, all I heard was the turbo spool and a woosh of air in between shifts. Anyone notice this as well?
