Supe up 2.0L Auto M3

about a second difference to 60 or 1/4 mile (dunno)

one of our 2.0l 6 members has sucessfully installed the 2.3 header and cut to fit his aem. the header I can say is feasable but the intake I'd say 3s injen was last known to not touch the return bolt of atx trannys. As for other stuff...Someone needs to take the inititive(if they already didn't) and grab a fsm like our 6tech guys. They show parts layouts and that way you can say catback "A" will fit both cars cause from bolt X to bolt Y they are both same part #s.

they made a 2.0L Mazda6? (uhm)

how would a 2.3L header (sits in the rear of the engine bay) fit on a 2.0L motor (front of engine)??? this is just a bs post.

Alright folks, no need to get into BMW references here. M3 is not a correct term to describe the Mazda3, but we're on a Mazda forum so we all understand what the poster really means. We've had many threads being significantly diverted off topic because one member makes a certain BMW reference. At most, just PM that member and suggest to them a more proper acronym, but lets keep the thread on-topic.

2.0 is overseas mater fact that awd bs on speed 6 was stolen from a 2.0 mazda 6 wagon in europs somewhere and speed 3 also grabed parts from it too for its awd. Best of my knoledge the 2.0 in the 3 is a rear exiting 2.0 right? Have to confirm it's the exact same 2.0 cause the 2.3 engine block I know(and after manny threads links and fsm coverage) is universal. even citd 2.3 and jdm 2.3 have same block but some internals and pcm difrences alow them to run 91 and up for atenza and axela models or disel for disel models. PCM From JDM swaps are unknown at this time and I don't think I can get a 3rd engine from mazda if I experimented so cross me off the gunea pig list. If the atx tranny is same as our 2.3 for both 2.3 and 2.0 then there is a super tranny out there that is bulletproof but you loose automode. that tranny also runs $4k and that doesn't include instal. I'll scan for that link again. But yeah FSM will answer most Q's. Also this is a mazda 6 PDF. but the 2.3 "MZR" and Maybe the 2.0 was snatched from our cars and put in to yours. http://www.mazda6tech.com/images/enginehighlights.pdf Right click and save as ;) right click save as isn't cause of bandwith issue but cause this wil louc your browser if tou try opening it straigt from the link! also L3=mazda6 2.3 AJ=Mazda63.0(V6) so disregard AJ unless you get bored and want to read :)

The header on both the 2.0L and 2.3L are at the rear of the engine. And are probally the same. There is not that many differences to the 2 engines.
And most parts will work for both engines. Headers, exhaust and intakes.

^hmm, I doubt they are the same. The location is similar, but the manifold has to be different.

Why does the manifold "have" to be different?
normaly we (AzMz3) NEVER agree but this time I do...why would the engine placement and header be 100% difrent? I know the mounts are due to the fact the 2.0 is being placed into a 3.0 engine bay but other than that and pcm. We have a member with 2.0 and no exhaust leaks sucessfully bolt up a draxas uncoated header with only the stock heatshield removal being a problem. If you get a header get coated so you won't need to heat wrap it.

The engine placement is probably similar, but most engines have unique bolt patterns on both sides. Mind you, I have never seen the bay of either motor nor do I have specs. However, the fs motor is a good example. The 2.0 is just a stroked version of the 1.8 and they require different headers.
