Sun strip tinting question

Question, i'm looking to tint my car very soon with probably 15-20%. I was also looking to get my sunstrip tinted as well on my front windshield. Although, would this affect the auto rain sensors at all? would the tint be able to be applied right over it?

i have sun strip done on mine and it doesnt effect my sensor in the least bit

I believe when they do that strip, it's put on the outside first to cut the exact one piece needed, then that one piece is cut into two pieces becuase it's put on the inside, not the outside, so one piece will go on each side of the mirror.

how does the adhesion work behind the mirror? From my own experience, I know that its hard to make tint stick to areas that have that black mesh inside (usually on the rear window defroster), is this the same case for the area behind the mirror?

They dont' actually put it behind the mirror, the strip on the insdie is actually two pieces that go on each side of the mirror....tough to explain without showing, you, but there's a factory tint line around the mirror you can see on the outside, the tint is actually measured up on the outside, both pieces are cut around the factory tint for precision, then put on the inside.

no i understand what you're saying, they did that when they did my protege, but that was a much smaller area to cut around, this one seems pretty large, i just want to make sure it looks uniform from the outside

I'll try to get a picture up, but I like how my looks. It's even w/ the AS1 line on the windshiled.
