We have a '92 Mazda 323, 1.6l that stopped running about a week ago. The engine cranks and sounds like it wants to start. None of the warning lights on the dash come on so we checked the diagnostic codes but didn't find anything there either. Today we replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump and spark plugs and it started and ran for about 5-10 minutes before it died and wouldn't start again. It was running rough and sounded like it was missing or like it was starving for fuel before it died. We're thinking maybe it's a sensor? The engine is rebuilt, about 2 years old and the transmission is about 1 year old. We're trying to avoid expensive/extensive shop repairs, but at this point we're thinking we should have it towed to a shop and have it properly diagnosed. Any ideas before we go that route? Any and all
suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
