Such enthusiasm for the P5

I was in getting bagels yesterday when another silver P5 drove up. The lady who was driving it came into the store. She looked like one of those people that didn't care about the car - just drove it because it was practical. Kind of like a soccer mom. I asked her what she thought about her car because I had one just like it. Well, she practically burst into song! She couldn't say enough great things about her car. Her final statement was that certain lights go on automatically in the dark. It was funny because she just got so excited about the P5. Thought I'd mention that.

I drove by an MSP the other day and saw the guy checking out my car. (mj) Never had that happen before.

I do that all the time just to see if they have anything done to their car or see if it's someone I might know from here. Frankly, I just love the way P5s & MSPs look. :D When I got my tint yesterday, I spent about 1/2 of the time just gazing at my car & all of the lines. It's beautiful, even though it's dirty as sin (my wheels have so much brake dust on them that the guy thought they were a different color :p ).

Tears in My Eyes

I haven't laughed that hard in a while

Sorry McToon, but that first reply to your comments brought me to the floor. "Was she MILF?", that was poetic, seriously. I laughed for a solid hour, and still I'm laughing hours later.

McToon, were they Mt. Royal Bagels or Side Street Caf bagels? MMMMMM, Bagels!!! I hope you didn't eat them in the car. Since this post was about pride, food and beverage in the Protege are huge no no's, very huge NO NO's.

Ciao for now folks,

id drink in my aston martin, but as long as i wasnt planning to haul ass. milf isnt funny anymore, i hear it everyday. i wish i wasnt so overexposed to it.

i got jipped too, i want automatic lights

I cornered myself into that rule

You see, I yelled at my friends and girlfriend for doing it. I can't preach it and not live by my own word. Besides, coffee is one tough substance to remove (yes I said substance...have you tasted my coffee?).

Uclap5, I see your point, and I respect it. However, I disagree. The fact that it's a Protege and not some over priced sports car should not be a death penalty for the interior of the car. Have you ever spilled coffee in your car, thought you cleaned it up, and then entered your car the next day to smell old coffee in the cab. It sucks.

Whatever, I am going overboard on this one.

Ciao for now,

Leafs to the CUP

i never drink coffee and most my friends dont either, so i guess thats good.

water, gatorade and fast food are the most common contaminants in my car. but i vacuum it pretty thoroughly.

I see where you are coming from, but its just too inconveniant to enforce any rules in my car.

the only rule i would enforce is one time my friend had to bring his dog in my car, and i made him promise to by be some recaros if that dog peed in the car. :D

the last time I rolled up on a P5..the guy tried running me off the road..lesson learned..oh wait..I was shooting at him...haha..I wish I had a P5..sigh..

but what about these automatic lights? how come i didn't get any automatic lights that come on? this sucks. does anyone know what she might be talking about?

usually in europe and i guess maybe canada there are light sensors that will turn on dash or even headlights if its dark outside.

some cars also get windshield wipers that detect for rain and turn on automatically...

and a host of other stuff we simple minded americans dont get.

Im not sure what the whole jip Americans out of the cool little gadgets that other contries get thing is all about. You would think, considering how damn spoiled we are compared to the rest of the world, we would get the hook up!

I think she talks about other lights like our ODO will light up, our window switch lights up too....It's on all the time acually, but you can't really see it in the sun.
